On New Year’s Eve President-Elect Donald Trump took time out of his busy schedule to release a rare and thoughtful tweet which contained a message of hope and…Oh, wait that was President Barack Obama on New Years Day.
As we look ahead to the future, I wanted to take a moment to look back on the remarkable progress that you made possible these past 8 years.

But, Trump’s NYE tweet was a just a tad bit different from Obama’s.
Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don't know what to do. Love!

Inspired by Trump’s words, Actor Mark Hamill, best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the cinematic series “Star Wars,” decided to recite the president-elect’s NYE tweet in the voice of his second most famous character.
With a little help (@chelseahamill @MarilouHamill) Got the app to send out my 1st soundbite- Stay Tuned…for I am #TheTrumpster! #NoJoke pic.twitter.com/RGejAJRKjn
— Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) January 7, 2017
Not everyone knows this, but Hamill has been a highly successful voice actor since the 1970’s. He’s worked on numerous popular cartoon shows and video games. But, by far his most captivating and chilling performance is on the animated Batman cartoon series in which he plays the role of everyone’s favorite Gotham City psychopath, the Joker.
Here’s Hamill reading Trump’s NYE tweet word for word as the Joker.
So far Trump has yet to react to Hamill’s latest performance, but rest assured the thin-skinned baby-handed bully may still try to fuel his incessant need for unnecessary A-list drama by going after the famed Star Wars legend. However, even if Trump chooses to ignore Hamill, you get the feeling that the actor was just warming up.
The next four years under Trump won’t give Americans a lot to smile about, but thanks to those like Hamill we’ll at least have plenty of good laughs.
