I know this is going to come as a complete shock, but Paul Ryan isn’t exactly hip. He just proved how not cool he is by becoming totally confused when a fellow lawmaker’s son decided to “dab” during a pic with him.
The Wisconsin Republican was re-elected as Speaker of the House on Tuesday and following the near unanimous vote he decided to take a quick pic with Kansas Rep. Roger Marshall (R) and his family. While taking the photo, Marshall’s teenage son decided that this was the perfect time for a little “dabbing.” Ryan was definitely not impressed.
As the boy raised his arm across his face in the signature dance move, Ryan was overtaken with confusion and asked of the teen was okay.
“Do you want to put your hand down?” Ryan asks. “Are you going to sneeze?”

Later in the evening, Ryan sent out a tweet saying that he met “countless cute kids” on Tuesday, but he still just doesn’t “get what dabbing is.”
Just finished swearing-in photos. Nearly 300 members. Countless cute kids. Still don’t get what dabbing is, though. pic.twitter.com/E2hFgyPYZT
