Right-Wing Radio Bigot: There Will be ‘Violence’ If SCOTUS Legalizes Gay Marriage (VIDEO)

Bryan Fischer warned that there would be “violence” if state legislatures didn’t pass resolutions stating that they wouldn’t follow any ruling by the Supreme Court that legalizes gay marriage today.

Fischer, who obtained Constitutional scholar status because he collected enough cereal box tops, declared that the states “have every moral and legal right to ignore the federal government,” and that this resistance was a necessary step to save American from tyranny, violence, civil unrest, and chaos.

For those unexposed to Bryan Fischer, don’t worry, this is how he normally acts.

Bryan Fischer: A Whopper of A Bigot

Last year, Burger King revealed its “pride” wrapper, which came in the colors of the rainbow. It was an interesting marketing move, but nothing to lose one’s cool over. And yet, Fischer still had an apoplectic fit fueled by anti-gay hate.

Fischer decried it as a “bonehead move from a marketing standpoint” saying, “When people sit down to eat a hamburger, the last thing they want to be thinking about is two guys having sex.”

And that was hardly the first time. Earlier in 2014, Fischer compared gay activists to “leeches.” In 2013, he compared being gay to being a pedophile, compared gay people to trans-fats, and praised Russia for its draconian anti-gay law, among other instances of what’s an otherwise weekly occurrence on his show.

So what happened today is well within the norm. He warned that if the Supreme Court of the United States legalized gay marriage, there would be “violence” as a result:

The Supreme Court can be slapped down through a deliberative and representative process. rather than through chaos and civil unrest which I and a lot of other pro-family leaders fear is the alternative. If the Supreme Court continues to overreach and they aren’t checked, we are headed towards civil unrest, I don’t think there is any other way around it. If it’s not stopped and reversed, the tyrannical overreach of the Supreme Court, we are to have social dislocation and I believe we are going to have violence as a result. And that is simply because freedom is too deeply ingrained in the DNA of the American people to permit tyranny to continue unchecked forever.

Chaos and civil unrest that will never manifest, and which Fischer will forget about next week when he goes off on his next anti-gay tirade.
