Donald Trump’s Obsession With Megyn Kelly Reaches Vile New Low, Fox Responds (VIDEO)

Ever since the first Republican debate last year, Donald Trump has been obsessed with Megyn Kelly. At that debate, which she was co-moderating, she asked Trump about comments he had made about women, questioning whether he thought that was presidential behavior. That didn’t sit well with the misogynistic Trump. Ever since, he has taken every opportunity to call her names, insult her and generally disrespect her.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of Megyn Kelly. This is, after all, the woman who insisted that Jesus and Santa Claus are white, doesn’t understand how the CDC works and talks down to those who don’t adhere to her own narrow viewpoints. But, as a moderator for the Republican debates — two of which she co-moderated — she’s done pretty well, actually. That first question was a shot over the bow for Trump. One that scared the panties off of him. Ever since, he’s gone after her like a third grader with a crush.

Speaking recently with Wolf Blitzer on CNN, Trump was at it again. Blitzer asked the Donald if he would skip the next debate because Kelly was moderating. Trump said that he would “probably” be there, continuing:

… I don’t like her. She didn’t treat me fairly. I’m not a big fan of hers at all… I might be the best thing that ever happened to her.

Wow. Misogynist, childish and condescending; a triple play. It didn’t stop there, though. Trump Tweeted this out on Friday afternoon:

He insisted that Kelly had asked him on her show multiple times and that Fox even begged him to do a Fox Network primetime special with her but he had turned them down. Fox News replied that “no one associated” with Kelly’s show has asked Trump for an interview. Fox issued a statement Friday night, coming to the defense of Kelly who, after all, has one of the highest-rated shows:

Donald Trump’s vitriolic attacks against Megyn Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land. Megyn is an exemplary journalist and one of the leading anchors in America — we’re extremely proud of her phenomenal work and continue to fully support her throughout every day of Trump’s endless barrage of crude and sexist verbal assaults… it’s especially deplorable for her to be repeatedly abused just for doing her job.

Well, “exemplary journalist” is reaching. But she is just doing her job, however abhorrent it is. To her credit, she has remained quiet against Trump’s barrage of bullshit. This really bugs him; it’s quite obvious. He continues to Tweet insults at her. Saturday morning, he Tweeted the following:

Seriously, it really does remind me of a boy in elementary school, pulling the ponytail of the girl he secretly likes. It’s on the verge of being stalkerish. This is a man who never had to grow up and he demonstrates it every day. Definitely NOT someone who should be in the Oval Office.

While it’s nice to know that Fox News will defend and support Kelly, it would be nicer if they would stop making her lie and misrepresent the news. In the meantime, I hope that Megyn will continue to ask decent questions at GOP debates.
