Donald Trump just got his ass handed to him for once again attacking musicians who refuse to perform at his inauguration.
Trump’s team have been desperately trying to secure big name talent to appear at the January 20th event, but most have refused, citing Trump’s bigotry, hate, and the divisive rhetoric he has used throughout the campaign and afterward.
Now Trump is bragging about Jackie Evancho’s rising record sales and claiming that performers should reconsider joining the “movement” to profit as well.
Jackie Evancho’s album sales have skyrocketed after announcing her Inauguration performance.Some people just don’t understand the “Movement”

So rather than focus on preparing for the world’s toughest job, Trump continues to obsess over the fact that celebrities are shunning him. And Twitter is ripping him apart for it.
@realDonaldTrump Who?
— Josh Sánchez (@jnsanchez) January 4, 2017
@realDonaldTrump wrong, Donald. We understand the “movement,” we just don’t support the movement.

@realDonaldTrump the “movement” as in bowel?

@realDonaldTrump LOL at him trying to overcompensate because bigger names don’t want to perform for the inauguration. pic.twitter.com/nhB5GT9FFz

@realDonaldTrump Can’t wait to see how big the boost for the other artists will be!!! Now, uh, who are those other artists again?
— Jon Bershad (@JonBershad) January 4, 2017
@realDonaldTrump this doesn’t seem particularly important. Focus.

One Twitter user even pointed out that Trump disapproving of some performers has boosted their ticket sales.
@realDonaldTrump ticket sales for @HamiltonMusical have skyrocketed after you tweeted your disapproval. https://t.co/gwy5nNmaqh

The bottom line is that just because Jackie Evancho, a 16-year-old girl, is the only person willing to perform at this inauguration doesn’t mean any self-respecting artist should cave.
