So many people, apparently of all generations, have failed to realize that Virginia is no longer part of the Confederacy. So much so, that a high school principal in Richmond was forced to apologize for the fact that when his team played a mostly black team, they forced the team to listen, over the loudspeaker, to repetitive use of the N-Word.
The game was the homecoming for Glen Allen High School and to welcome the visiting team, they played a racist parody of Disney’s Duck Tails. The video has been removed from YouTube, but Raw Story posted some of the lyrics. It’s horrible.
I hate f*cking n****rs / n****rs suck d*ck,” one lyric says. “Look at n****rs trying to raise money / But they can’t ’cause they spend all their money / They’re n****rs and they’re so f*cking n****rs / I hate them.
The principal, Gwen E. Miller, issued an apology, saying:
We regularly review play lists, and I am at a loss as to how such a song was included. Please know this unfortunate incident does not reflect the broader Glen Allen High School community. We are a diverse and inclusive community and are appalled that the instigator of this event has sent a message contrary to our beliefs and practices.”
