The presidency is the highest office in the country, and the people aspiring to run for this office, in general, have respected it. Too bad for the GOP that Donald Trump came along and set fire to any standard of decency. Now that he has top officials have acknowledged that “Trump Sitting” is now required just to keep him from further destroying his own campaign.

So, when Priebus unexpectedly appeared on stage with Trump at a recent rally, it wasn’t in support, it was in the desperate hope he could keep Trump from further damaging the GOP with his mere presence. They are that frantic, and they have good reason to be.

What should be making all Americans sick to their stomachs is this: he is still competitive. There are actually people willing to vote for the racist, xenophobic, bigoted, misogynistic, lying, flim-flam fraud: some because they have bought into the conspiracy theories and others because he is “their kind of people.”
