Green Party’s Jill Stein Just Became The Anti-Vaxxer Candidate

After weeks of waffling on the issue, Jill Stein finally just came out and admitted she buys into the anti-vaxxer nonsense that runs rampant through affluent and spoiled white neighborhoods. This should come as absolutely no surprise as Stein has long pandered to the same group of people that “vote their conscience” because they’ll never pay the price for putting someone like Donald Trump into the White House.

But thank goodness Stein finally stopped evading the issue and let the country know that proven, peer-reviewed science is unimportant in the face of how her followers “feel” and the evils of corporations:

I think there’s no question that vaccines have been absolutely critical in ridding us of the scourge of many diseases — smallpox, polio, etc. So vaccines are an invaluable medication,” Stein said. “Like any medication, they also should be — what shall we say? — approved by a regulatory board that people can trust. And I think right now, that is the problem. That people do not trust a Food and Drug Administration, or even the CDC for that matter, where corporate influence and the pharmaceutical industry has a lot of influence.

Let’s be clear: Stein is full of shit. She knows quite well that vaccines have been tested, retested and tested some more by dozens of different groups that have nothing to do with the pharmaceutical industry. All have found exactly nothing wrong with them and, aside from the incredibly rare adverse reaction, there are simply no ill effects on people being vaccinated.

But Stein, again, panders to affluent white people that are so secure in their gated communities that they have to invent stuff to be afraid of. And how do we know she’s pandering? Because of statements like this:

As a medical doctor, there was a time where I looked very closely at those issues, and not all those issues were completely resolved,” Stein said. “There were concerns among physicians about what the vaccination schedule meant, the toxic substances like mercury which used to be rampant in vaccines. There were real questions that needed to be addressed. I think some of them at least have been addressed. I don’t know if all of them have been addressed.

And again, Stein is full of shit. You get more mercury in a tuna sandwich then you get from a year’s worth of vaccines. Oh, and the type of mercury in vaccines? It’s not even the kind that causes damage. The kind in vaccines does not accumulate in the body and cannot affect the brain. Stein MUST know this if she’s spent more than 10 seconds researching the issue. So either she is lying that she “looked very closely” or she’s lying about the “real questions” she claims to still have.

As a parent of an autistic child, I despise anti-vaxxers on a genetic level. Their incessant bitching and moaning about vaccines causing autism has distracted doctors all over the world from finding the REAL cause and squandered MILLIONS of dollars on study after study that prove the same thing over and over: vaccines have nothing to do with autism.

And on top of that, the idea that some spoiled snob that thinks their child is a precious snowflake would not vaccinate their kid and put everyone ELSE’S kids at risk is intolerable. No one should be able to put my kid in jeopardy because they reject science in favor of whatever bullshit they heard Jenny “Who gives a fuck what I think?” McCarthy spew.

That Jill Stein is willing to lie through her teeth and place people at risk  just to get some more votes makes her just as despicable as the worst of the Republicans. Their sociopathic disregard for climate science is a perfect match for the kind of anti-science gibberish Stein is peddling.
