Mother Points Gun At The Head Of A 14-Year-Old Girl Who Was Fighting Her Daughter (VIDEO)

If you are a parent, the very last thing you want to see is your child hurt. Unfortunately, it is common for teenagers to get into fist fights over a plethora of stupid stuff; in fact, it’s almost inevitable. Most parents, if they come across their child involved in a fight, try to separate the kids and diffuse the situation. Smart, responsible parents do that. A mother in Pasadena, Texas was not so smart. Nope. She didn’t do what most of us would do; instead, she pointed a gun at the head a the 14-year-old girl who was engaged in a fight with her daughter.

The two girls got into a fight at a park across the street from Pasadena High School. Viridiana Alvarez, the mother of one of the girls, got involved and pointed a gun at the other girl’s head. Police arrived and broke up the fight between the girls, but a couple of hours later a video emerged of the incident.

Alvarez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. At her first court appearance she told the judge that she did not intend to shoot the girl, only “scare” her. Family members say that the gun was not loaded.

The grandmother of the victim doesn’t care if the gun was loaded, she said it shouldn’t have happened:

I don’t think a grown woman should be taking a gun where kids are. I think it’s wrong.

It’s absolutely not okay!

This is the problem that the left has with guns. There are just so many stupid, reckless people walking around with them. People who clearly have no common sense and should not own a gun. This woman wasn’t charged with illegally possessing a firearm, so obviously it was a legal gun.

She’s sitting in the Harris County Jail on a $35,000 bond. Let’s hope that she’s found guilty and gets a nice long prison sentence.

You stole my line, I posted that on gawker two days ago! “and the award for mother of the year goes to……”

  • JC Wijma

And people still think that “open carrying” will make the streets saver. right….

“Unfortunately, it is common for teenagers to get into fist fights over a
plethora of stupid stuff; in fact, it’s almost inevitable.”

    1. Maybe we should start with this statement. Perhaps we should teach our children to resolve conflicts without resorting to physical altercations.

    2. I sincerely doubt that the gun was unloaded. Most CC and OC advocates rarely go out with an unloaded weapon. Unloaded brains, in many cases, but the ammo is in the weapon.

    • Alan Batterman

If she brought the gun out from the house, she might not have loaded it.

      • JC Wijma

Loaded or unloaded, you don’t bring a gun to a fist fight. Especially not a fist fight between two teenagers.

  • cezook

This is why there should be mandatory training and psych evaluations for everyone who purchases a gun. Too many people are not intellectually able to act responsible with their weapons.

    • Alan Batterman

Psych tests can be rigged to be unpassable.

        They can also pinpoint paranoia.

Is this the voice of paranoia speaking?

ummmmmmmm….Texas is Open Carry….oh! But wait! She’s not white!!!!!! Never mind…………

    • Tricialu

She wasn’t arrested for “Open Carry”. She was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at someone. That has nothing to do with race…and everything to do with threatening someone with a lethal weapon.

  • decrepittex

This being Texas, I’m sure after the investigations are done and the smoke clears, some Texas politician will decide that the answer is to arm everyone at any kind of game where altercations might occur. After all, what we need in America is more guns.

“Unfortunately it is common for teenagers to get into fist fights over a plethora of stupid stuff…” yes, lets start there. If a grown person was attacked the way this teenager was, they would be calling the police. Why do you think kids or teenagers want to be attacked? There is a possibility that the mother could not stop this girl from beating her daughter. If that is the case what would you, who are passing judgement on the mom do, if someone were beating your kid and you could not stop them?

    • JC Wijma

Sorry, if you see a 14 year old girl beating on your 14 year old girl, and you find yourself powerless to break them up without pulling a gun, then you have failed. Even if you lack the strength to pull them apart yourself, there is always the option to ask for assistance.

  • Paul in Buffalo

It’s not very bright to put that on line along with your full name.

    • JC Wijma

People like that aren’t very bright to begin with.

Open-Carry and concealed carry supports defending your family using deadly force against attackers. Her daughter was being attacked. Why is gunnut Texas pressing charges? Where are the Bundy Ranch loons to protest? Oh, wait….
