Republican Ignorance On Rape So Bad, Someone Made It Into Color Coded Charts (IMAGES)

If anyone has been paying attention to Republican politics for the past few years, one thing that is glaringly self-evident is that they have a severe ignorance when it comes to the idea of women being raped. Rape, to Republicans, seems to be a curious and interesting thing. They look at it the way a scientist would look at how a star forms or perhaps how a volcano works, instead of it being a life-altering tragedy at best.

Historically speaking, Republican rape awareness has always been this way, but it is only relatively recent that it has started to be compiled, in this very handy color coded chart. Who knows? Maybe you will discover you were not really raped after all.

Who would turn down a gift from god?

Your problem is, you are looking at rape as a crime rather than an “opportunity”:

Forcible, unlike the ones where force is not required? Is consensual sex rape too?

Emergency Rape: Because some rapes simply are not that urgent.

Before anyone goes using the word “Rape,” we need to make sure that it was a legitimate one, and not some knock-off brand.

Don’t forget ladies, if you can’t get out of the bad situation you clearly provoked by wearing those short shorts, you can always lie back and think of George Clooney.

And finally we come to the central theme of all this: “Hey, she was askin’ for it.”

I am never surprised by the stupidity of elected Republicans. Intelligence is not a requirement for nomination. In fact, a vacant cranial cavity is preferred in order for the Koch brothers to fill it with their John Birch Society excrement.

    I have an idea.

Prior to any elected official being able to cast a vote on any legislation regarding rape, that legislator must be made completely familiar with the circumstances of rape…..by being put into a prison housing unsupervised prisoners, convicted of rape.

They must spend at least 48 hours in close confinement.

They must NOT be armed or have any other means of defense.

They must NOT be allowed to prepare themselves by bringing any form of birth control.

They must NOT be allowed to back out of any encounter with other inmates, unless they can escape advances using their own physical force.

THEN let’s see how many exceptions are made for different forms of rape.

All that is left of the republican party are the very, very rich, and those stupid enough to vote republican and against their own best interests.

I very much appreciate the shout-out to my site, but the individual image credits refer to “Go” instead of “GOP”…otherwise, thanks for spreading the word (and, sadly, look for additional updates in the near future…)

    Nothing about that surprises me.

Of course God intended an 11-year old girl to be gang-raped. If she got pregnant, all the more so. I just wonder what god the so-called Christians believe in? Not the one I was taught.

God is a rapist by proxy, ah, good one, makes a person to become an atheist.

I appreciate the shout-out, but I’ve always been ambivalent about taking credit for this project. I don’t try to hide it (obviously) but it’s also a bit awkward since it’s not exactly something to be “proud” of. Technically speaking the “credit” goes to the douchebags who keep saying these things and passing this type of legislation…

I do, however, wish they’d correct the “Go” to “GOP” in the image credits…

Of course not *all* of them think/speak that way, but this is WAY more than “a few bad apples”. Note that there are NINE MORE VOLUMES and counting at the actual site…and none of these come from Joe Schmoes on the street; every one of the sources is either an elected official with actual power to pass/enact legislation, a party official with the power to influence the platform, or a media pundit with a huge megaphone to spout their drivel in a public forum.

Blacks are 12% of the population but commit over 30% of rapes.

    • kwkurtz44

And your point? What percentage of blacks exist in poverty? What percentage of rapes are committed by those in poverty, those who are uneducated. Rape is more prevalent in those demographics, and has nothing to do with the color of your skin.

      • Otto Greif

The point is it’s important to know the facts about rape. Poor blacks rape more than poor whites, and being poor is no excuse for raping, that you would even suggest such a thing is disturbing.

        • http://acasignups.net/ Charles Gaba

You’re correct about black people making up about 12% of the population.

Source for your claim that they’re *commit* 30% of all rapes?

Assuming you’re correct that they’re *charged* and/or *convicted* of 30% of them, has it ever occurred to you that perhaps they’re more likely to be charged in the first place-and, I’d imagine, far more likely to be convicted-than a white man would?

          • Otto Greif

Black conviction rates are consistent with UCR and NCVS data.

Really?? Which studies say this, and based on what exactly?
