Hundreds of Black Friday and Ferguson protesters gathered at the Galleria Mall in St. Louis to block shoppers and stage a die-in. The mall shut down for several hours, and for once, police did not get violent or arrest anyone.
Organized on Twitter with the hashtags #NotOneDime, #BlackLivesMatter, and #StlBlackFriday, Fox2Now reports the Black Friday protests started when word got out for protesters to meet at Shaw Park at 11:30 a.m. From there, organizers told them to “get into the Galleria.”
The protesters chanted “No Justice, No Peace,” and staged a four-and-a-half minute die-in to represent the 4.5 hours Michael Brown was left dead in the middle of the street before Ferguson Police stuffed his body into an SUV.
Here’s the news report from Fox2Now. Of course, since this is Fox News, the newscaster expressed sympathy for the employees who complained about missing a few hours of precious pay, but appeared to blame the protesters rather than their skinflint employers.
