Wednesday marked America’s latest gun murder. The tragic loss of two Virginia journalists was one more in a string of mass shootings that proves that America’s gun culture is out of control.
When the shooter is a white man (as most are), Fox looks for every excuse to label him a freak, usually by calling him mentally ill, straddling that fine line of encouraging that guns be kept out of the hands of the mentally ill, while still being against any gun control whatsoever. Even when a white man shot up an African-American church and said it was because they were black, Fox bent over backwards to eliminate the racial angle.
On Wednesday, though, the shooter was African-American and gay and Fox’s Gretchen Carlson jumped right to the conclusion that it was a hate crime, despite her guest denying it. Of course, the shooter is dead, so it’s kind of a moot point, but here’s the video:
Carlson, though, is doing exactly what her audience expects. The comments to Fox’s coverage of the story is a hotbed of racism and anti-liberalism. Almost no one gives a damn about the victims of the shooting. Ann Coulter, for example, wants to use the shooting as an excuse to put the Confederate flag back up:

None of these comments recognize the real problem, which has nothing to do with the races of the shooter or victims - we have a gun problem.
