Will He Do It Again? Young Obama Made A Big Speech For Bernie Sanders’ 2006 Campaign (VIDEO)

With only two years left in his presidency and the fact that he’s grey enough (one for every Fox News broadcast) to play a grandpa in sitcoms, it’s hard to remember that Barack Obama used to be a rockstar Senator and key surrogate for Democratic candidates. I personally got to witness the brand spanking new optimistic Illinois Senator speak on behalf of then-2005 NJ Gubernatorial Candidate Jon Corzine. Upon hearing his sonorous speech, I instantly knew he would be running for president in 2008. Only now is he finally finding his groove and pretty much giving the finger to the obstructionist Republican loons in Congress that made his presidency a living hell.

But it seems in the distant land of 2006, when we were all uploading low resolution pics of ourselves to our MySpace accounts, a young and healthy looking future President Obama headed to Vermont to headline a rally for then-Rep. Bernie Sanders. Bernie, then an independent congressmen running for Senate, was all too thrilled to have then Senator Obama in his camp. Obama actually poked fun at Sanders regarding his cult following in Vermont.

“How do you campaign where everybody knows you?” he asked. “I mean, what’s the point?” (Mic.com)

Sanders would go on to win his race with a whopping 67% of the vote. Now, as a 2016 Democratic Presidential Candidate and the only viable alternative to Hillary Clinton, Bernie is drawing even bigger crowds. Although it’s very doubtful given her role as Secretary of State in his cabinet, one has to wonder if President Barack Obama will do the same for Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

I would hope President Obama would choose Bernie Sanders, but I also wonder if he’d just sit this one out. I don’t think he likes Hillary more than Bernie. She’s more popular, but is still a typical ‘bought & paid for’ politician. Remember………in the last Presidential Election, Republicans distanced themselves from George W. Bush, not wanting to be associated with him because he was more of an embarrassment than anything else. I can see Republican hopefuls using this as a tool to dismay voters from voting Democrat (anything/everything President Obama does is viewed in the nastiest way by the Republican Party, as well as Conservative Christians, gun enthusiasts, Wall Street investment firms, and hateful extremists). There’s NO DOUBT Bernie Sanders would be a President ‘for the people’, which bucks the system of CORRUPTION.
