She may not be running for president (she isn’t so stop annoying her), but good lord is she a powerful voice in the Senate. In fact, she’s probably more needed and important in the Senate than the senate president. And if there’s anyone with the temerity and strength to take on Republicans’ war on big uterus, it’s the strong but non-threatening Massachusetts Senator.
In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Warren slammed Republicans for trying to shut down Planned Parenthood on the basis of anti-choice zealots touting a false planned parenthood video.
“(T)he Republicans say the first issue that we’ve got to discuss, the number one thing, everything else can go forward on the budget or we can cut, everything else, the first thing we’ve to do is defund Planned Parenthood. That means defunding healthcare for women,” she said. (Raw Story)
Warren, never one to mince words, went so much further in her efforts to lambaste the Christian Taleban.
