Watch Bernie Sanders Totally Rip Apart CNN Host’s GOP Talking Points

Now that Bernie Sanders threw his wild hair into the ring, giving us at least a glimmer of hope that we were once a democracy and not a plutocracy/oligarchy, the establishment is trying to drag him down.

During a recent appearance on CNN’s New Day, co-host Chris Cuomo made every pathetic attempt to present Bernie as if he were some out-of-touch kook who wants to redistribute syrup in Vermont. Moreover, Cuomo inundated Sanders with a barrage of GOP talking points, but Bernie was not taking the bait and he took down each one like they were TIE Fighters.

Here’s a brief transcript of the exchange via PoliticUsUsa:

CUOMO: So you’re saying you’re not going to be about the big money, but you have that big Supreme Court case, Citizens United. I mean that – that says that money is speech and they can play the game and it seems like everybody takes money in politics these days. You’ll never change it.

SANDERS: No, Chris, we – look, Chris, let’s be very clear. When you have a handful of billionaires able to spend as much money as they want, supporting their candidates, so people like the Koch who are extreme right wing, what you are looking – and let’s be clear – is the undermining of American democracy and moving our nation to an oligarchic form of society – and I mean that very seriously – where a handful of billionaires will determine who are elected officials are. We’re not going to do that. I’m not going to take – establish a super PAC. We’re getting small contributions from working people. I think we can raise the kinds of money we need, not to outspend our opponents, that won’t happen, but to run a credible and, in fact, winning campaign.

It’s time for the American People to stand up and say “enough is enough” - Register Democrat and vote for Bernie Sanders in the primary - identify and support your local representatives that believe the same and vote them into office.

Republicans have lost their everloving mind - 35 yrs of Trickle Down economics is enought to prove that it doesn’t work for anyone other than the top percentile. The only thing that trickles down is the cost of maintaining a society. Reject the notion that there is nothing that one person can do - get involved and VOTE.

Voting is rigged I hear all the time - if you truly believe that MONITOR the vote - be present - be involved.

    Enough is enough!

Very well said. The only thing I would add is: For those who do not believe they have enough time to keep up with the candidates and issues, please trade just 15 minutes of your social networking time for research of the candidates. You will be surprised how much you WON’T miss the “fluffy stuff” and how motivated you will become to make a difference in our government.
