Donald Trump’s Spokeswoman Katrina Pierson has a talent for telling some huge lies, garnished with heaping servings of misinformation and half-truths. Her talent for telling tall tales sometimes even surpasses that of Trump himself.
Recently, Pierson joined other surrogates in trying to deflect attention away from Trump’s attack on a Gold Star mother who lost her son in Iraq after he sacrificed himself to save his men. She even suggested that President Obama was the one at fault for Captain Humayun Khan’s death.
Pierson told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer:
Surely you can understand the confusion, considering how Donald Trump never voted for the Iraq War (pronounced Eye-Rack) Hillary Clinton did, and then she didn’t support the troops to have what they need (total lie). It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his life.
So I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand why Donald Trump was confused about why he was being held responsible for something he had nothing to do with, while Hillary Clinton had EVERYTHING to do with.
However, there was just one small loose thread in her otherwise rock solid argument. Captain Khan died in 2004. Barack Obama wasn’t elected as president until 2008. And Hillary Clinton was still a U.S. Senator.
But, don’t expect these minor details to give Pierson any pause as she marches on to the next Trump fire to put out.
Unfortunately for Pierson, Twitter never forgets; nor does it forgive. Someone started #KatrinaPiersonHistory and since then, the hashtag has taken a life of its own.

Should Trump lose the election, there’s a very good chance Pierson could teach U.S. history at the school of her choice in Texas, or just about any other red state.
