If you could combine Donald Trump with Lex Luthor, Martin Shkreli would be the end result. Shkreli, the infinitely smarmy and douche-tongued pharma executive who is currently out on bail from charges stemming from securities fraud, just learned that you never step to a comedian-especially if that comedian is Patton Oswalt.
Shkreli, who couldn’t even survive a really bad open mic at a dive bar, quickly found out what it’s like when you try to challenge a seasoned comedian to a battle of the wits. One was unarmed and the other was carrying a sword of biting sarcasm.
The Twitter feud all began after actor Chris Evans simply acknowledged Oswalt’s through takedowns of the witless toad.
And just like his thin-skinned hero Donald Trump, Shkreli flipped out at the most innocuous of infractions.
“Pretty boy, sh*t for brains?” Yes, it seems like somebody has got blood coming out of his…wherever. This is when Patton stepped in to show Shkreli what happens when you try to heckle a comedian on Twitter.
And being the spoiled, trust fund baby man-child without a modicum of insight, Skreli took his room temperature wit up a degree.
Perhaps growing tired of the Vercua Salt of Big Pharm, Oswalt closed out performance with one more brilliant tweet.
And that’s what happens when you try to troll one of the current statesmen in comedy.
