WATCH: Responsible Gun Owner Points Gun At Entire Crowd When ‘Scary’ Black Man Asks For A Light (VIDEO)

Walmart shopper Sherry McLain claims that she was in the most desperate and terrifying fear for her life, when a man she didn’t know asked her to borrow her lighter while never getting within 10 feet of her. She immediately pulled her gun and pointed it at him, threatening to murder him. The man had just bought a pack of cigarettes in the store, and needed a light. But you know, he was black so that is a different story.

“I have never been so afraid of anything in my whole life I don’t think,” said McLain. - via Screen Capture

This is the culmination of the culture of fear and paranoia fostered by Republicans and the NRA. “Everyone” is out to murder you so you have to murder them first, because ‘Murica.

Witnesses confirmed this and security video showed the man, who we could not reach for comment, never got closer than 10 feet to McLane.

When she pulled the gun, he ran back into the store to call 911.

When the man ran away and back inside the store, that was not enough to make McLain feel safe again. She continued pointing the gun at him while getting many other shoppers in her gun sights as well.

Others witnesses agreed. “Clearly this is an example of gunowner who doesn’t need to own a gun,” said Keeley Benoit.

Her 7-year-old son and his grandmother found themselves in McLain’s cross hairs as the man ran past them at the Walmart.

When she looked up the gun was being pointed at the three of them and the lady says I’m going to shoot you. I’m going to kill you,” said Benoit.

What really can be said about this, that it doesn’t say already on its own? What more can be added that has not been said a million times already? Thankfully McLain did not start wildly firing into the crowd willy-nilly hoping to murder the scary innocent person that was fleeing for his life. She has been charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, yet she still is incapable of understanding that what she did was wrong, and insists she is the real victim.

McLain had these comments regarding her arrest:

This guy is the bad guy, and I’m the one walking in handcuffs walking away.

What are we supposed to do, if we can’t protect ourselves?

Truly, what will our society become if Black people are allowed to ask white people to borrow their cigarette lighter? We might as well just let the terrorists win.

Watch the interview with the woman who is the poster child for not being qualified to own a gun below:

    God! What a flippin’ moron!

  • MDWilson

You can almost hear her say it, can’t you. “What am I supposed to do when a N*** tries to talk to me? How can I defend myself?” Racism is alive and well and prospering in this country.

    • pianoman

That was exactly the first thing that came to mind when I read the headline. This idiot just does not like Black people talking to her…

  • RealAmericanPatriot

Another paranoid delusional nut that is not sane enough to own a gun much less carry it in public. She was the only one in the situation behaving in a violent way. Throw the book at her. Everyone else in that parking lot had a RIGHT to go shopping without having an unstable person pointing a loaded gun at them or possibly being hit by stray fire.

Enough is enough, she is clearly NOT a responsible person and should not be trusted with the power to decide life or death with the simple pull of a trigger as her judgement is obviously impaired and highly questionable.

If you support her as a responsible gun owner then you are clearly not objective. This is exactly the type of person who should never be allowed to own a gun without rigorous examination of her training, competency and mental fitness. Something is seriously wrong with this woman.

There was no threat to her, her actions were irresponsible as determined by the police.

  • pianoman

So if another “responsible” gun owner had seen what was going on, pulled HIS gun, and shot her dead, wouldn’t that be considered legal use of deadly force in defense of a third person?

    • Patrik919

Yes, but would have probably have been arrested and charged with murder, or worse, shot and killed by the responding officers.

      • zerosumgame0005

in particular if you were black, and even if actually arrested expect to be tortured while in jail, all the way to death…

  • Tom Gonza

So if the scary black man had a legal gun and pulled it out and killed her bc he was in danger would the black man be free?

    • john doe

Does someone need a new copy of the White Folks Handbook?

    • disqus_Tq1cQbeWFW

Good question! If he did have a gun and pulled it, perhaps firing as a result of her first threatening him with a gun… that would most likely be considered self-defense.

  • john doe

This is our gun culture, America. This is the NRA’s America.

Nowadays all you have to do in America is say you were afraid for your life. And if that fear is, as this woman’s clearly is, based on absolutely nothing but the fact that the person is black….it’s no matter. All you have to do is say you were afraid and you can actually murder someone in cold blood. It works for old ladies, cops, wanna-be cops….everyone.

    America needs a psychological enema.

  • Chris

    Must be John’s sister. 😉

  • Jim

Guns don’t kill people. People living in a
culture of glorified patriotic violence with unfettered access to firearms kill
    people…WITH GUNS.

  • SidTheScienceKid

No gun nuts coming to comment on this … surprised ?

  • http://www.howdygram2.blogspot.com Aunt Pee

The NRA won’t be happy until the entire country is a scene from “Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.” Holy crap.

  • http://www.howdygram2.blogspot.com Aunt Pee

She fears for her life when somebody asks her for a light? Seriously? She’s got serious issues. And she should NOT be allowed to own a gun!

  • Fidlerten

All she needed to do, if she was so afraid of the guy, was tell him, “No, I don’t have a light.” And then if he continued to approach her, inform him she wanted him to stay his distance. There was no reason to pull a gun.

This jerk reaction to someone because he happens to be black, is the result of a right-wing mania that paints those of different races, religions or different in any way, as being something to fear. It could have just as easily been a white man or even a white girl who asked for a light. It’s also possible her response could have been different because she felt safe just because of their skin color, and it is also possible that white person could have approached her and mugged her before she even had a chance to respond.

I don’t blame her for being afraid, as many times a crook will use what looks like an innocent request to get close enough to take advantage of the situation, but the proper response should be to verbally inform the person you do not wish them to come any closer. Then if they insist and do come closer, then perhaps pulling a gun is warranted, but not before.

  • Stanley E. Woods

A good way to kill innocent people. She going to kill every person of color who might ask her a question? She could have been shot herself by pointing the gun at the crowd. This is just the beginning, Zimmerman opened the door, the NRA is holding it open.

  • Dorian Mode

She should be put on a watch list : UPS Fedx, Postal Service. But they will never take her gun.

  • Neil Miller

I have always felt that anyone who feels the need to carry a gun has issues. This is the perfect example.

  • disqus_Tq1cQbeWFW

There was nothing for her to fear! That’s the problem, it was all imaginary, made up in her mind. If she is living in such a heightened state of fear, she needs mental health and her gun(s) should be confiscated and her carry permit revoked!!

Won’t be long now until someone like this women actually opens fire and kills people!!

  • Amy

Idiots with guns, what could go wrong?
