Donald Trump has tried to pass his Muslim ban off as “extreme vetting,” to protect Americans against terrorists, of course. We all knew this was a load of crap but he just proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that his plan to prohibit Muslims from entering the U.S. has been based on bigotry all along.
In an interview with The Brody File, Trump said that when it comes to refugees, he is really only interested in helping Christians to escape their war-torn countries. If you’re a Muslim woman or child trying to flee from bombs and starvation, well that’s just too bad.
“We are going to help them,” President Trump tells CBN News. “They’ve been horribly treated. Do you know if you were a Christian in Syria it was impossible, at least very tough to get into the United States? If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible and the reason that was so unfair, everybody was persecuted in all fairness, but they were chopping off the heads of everybody but more so the Christians. And I thought it was very, very unfair. So we are going to help them.”
This confirms it. It was a Muslim ban all along. “Extreme vetting” was just dressing it up. https://t.co/S5YhnIRwsx pic.twitter.com/0sVb0Fi8Te

Trump has signed a flurry of alarming executive orders during his first week in office and is expected to sign more in the next few days, “including one that would temporarily ban refugees from resettling in the U.S. and block all visas from being issued to anyone from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.”
Trips by the Department of Homeland Security to interview refugees abroad have already come to a screeching halt. These interviews are a vital part of the process for admitting refugees into the country.
It is also worth noting that Trump’s original Muslim Ban proposal is still up on his website. As a reminder, the “Statement On Preventing Muslim Immigration” calls for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what’s going on.”
By the way, the original Muslim ban: Still on the site. https://t.co/nHnB4fgVFc pic.twitter.com/m5MxdVNfQu
