Several months ago, Ted Cruz went on a radio show and made the following statement about New York values. The host opened the program addressing the fact that Donald Trump was playing Bruce Springsteen’s song “Born In The USA” at his rallies. Cruz said:
He may shift at his new rallies to playing New York, New York. Because, you know, Donald comes from New York and he embodies New York values.
He then doubled down on that anti-New York values sentiment during the debates.
In what is absolutely perfect timing, Bernie Sanders surprised the audience in an appearance on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.
You know what, here is a native New Yorker to talk about real New York values.
And, man oh man did “Bernie-Brooklyn-Born-Sanders” slam the Texas Senator about his comments regarding the Empire State. But, Sanders didn’t stop with Cruz. Oh no.
Mr. Trump you wouldn’t know New York values if they were written in fifty foot gold letters on the side of the Empire State Building.
Oh, yes! It’s beautiful and so perfect. He then closes with the most epic takedown of all and literally drops the mic! Hell yeah!
