On December 19, 2016, all of our nightmares came true — the Electoral College made it official — Donald J. Trump will be the 45th President of the United States, and just typing that for the first time literally made me want to throw up.
Trump, never one to miss out on a chance to brag about himself on Twitter, celebrated his electoral victory in the way we’ve come to expect — lying his ass off.
We did it! Thank you to all of my great supporters, we just officially won the election (despite all of the distorted and inaccurate media).

In addition to his tweet, he issued a statement:
“I thank the American people for their overwhelming vote to elect me as their next President of the United States.”
“The official votes cast by the Electoral College exceeded the 270 required to secure the presidency by a very large margin, far greater than ever anticipated by the media.”
Everything he said Monday evening is laughable. First of all, he did not win by a “very large margin.” In fact, Hillary Clinton was the one who won the popular vote by almost 3 million votes. Second of all, the media was not out to get Donald Trump. Donald Trump did that to himself by handing out damning material daily. The media simply reported his words — it’s kind of hard to be “inaccurate” when you’re just quoting what the “p*ssy grabber” said.
As you can imagine, the internet had a few things to say about his remarks, and responded to his “Thank You” tweet:
At least you’re staying humble @realDonaldTrump. Unfortunately, despite your victory, most Americans think you’re unqualified and dangerous.

@realDonaldTrump Congrats! (Despite all of your hate fueled speeches and encouraging others to hate).

@realDonaldTrump And despite losing by 2.8 million votes.

And this is probably the best one — Trump’s own words:
