Elizabeth Warren Completely Destroys Scott Walker In Just One Tweet (IMAGES)

Scott Walker, a Republican front-runner in the race for President in 2016, came out recently by comparing union personnel and peaceful protesters to ISIS.

What was the guy thinking?

In the latest straw poll among Republicans, held at the CPAC conference,Walker came in a close second - 21.6%, only behind Rand Paul, who had over 25% to come in first place. Since this is a likely predictor of a candidates ability to organize a campaign, its a good thing Elizabeth Warren shot him down quickly, for his ignorance.

In a beautiful tweet, showing support for unions all across the country, she said:

If Scott Walker sees 100,000 teachers and firefighters as his enemies, maybe it’s time we take a closer look at his friends.

If there’s one thing most people can agree on, you don’t want Elizabeth Warren trolling you.

She’s a killer. It’s rumored Muhammad Ali refused to fight her once. Okay, jokes aside - she is definitely a force to be reckoned with given her massively growing influence within the Democratic party. And, if you are a friend of Scott Walker, you might re-think that relationship once you realize you’re about to get scrutinized by a woman who’s not afraid to take on the biggest, and baddest of them all - Wall Street.

But, it’s not just Elizabeth Warren that Walker needs to be concerned with. It’s the people in his own state that he’s offended. The state of Wisconsin’s workers are getting on Twitter and making the case against him with the hash tag: #NotATerrorist.

Elizabeth Warren, with just one tweet, showed why she is America’s choice by unions. With just one tweet she showed why Richard Trumka, President of the AFL-CIO, makes no secret of his desire for Mrs. Warren to run for President of The United States. This is America’s largest federation of labor unions, and Trumka is easily the most recognizable union leader in the country. He backs her for a reason - it’s because she genuinely cares about unions.

When people like Scott Walker make ridiculous claims against workers, Elizabeth Warren doesn’t sit quietly. And, she shows this time and time again.

I’m tired of people using trolling wrongly. Making an astute point is not trolling.

  • Brian says:

LOL, Warren is a proven liar, a hypocrite and a Socialist. That’s all anyone needs to know about her.

    • Bruce swingline says:

This is the same person that wants to go after the “too big to prosecute” banks for crashing the economy, getting the government out of students lives, by allowing lower interest on student loans. So if that is considered a liar, hypocrite, or socialist, I welcome it. Oh, now I get it, you just had NOTHING and just wanted to see your name on this page.

I can almost taste your butt hurt Brian…….

    • Lynn says:

Please provide documentation for these claims.

    • Rhonda Warmack Houston says:

Brian, And how do you do your research on who you vote for; You must vote only for those who ‘have been able to entertain you’ rather than finding out who gives them money to run and what exactly the person you vote for wants to accomplish if elected and what their motivation is to run. You must be a died in the wool Republican because ONLY Republicans call names and NEVER give out FACTS and RUN AWAY from FACT. I’d put money on it, that 1) you don’t KNOW what the definition of what SOCIALISM IS and 2) you can NOT name all the programs you are already participate within in the state that you live in.

      • Brian says:

I participate in ZERO State or Federally funded “Programs”, thank you. You see Rhonda, that’s called self reliance, or personal responsibility, both of which are well known to be “dirty words” in the Liberal lexicon. I actually work for a living instead of voting for a living.
Unlike you, I’m not so naive as to believe only one Party’s politicians accept donations with caveats. The facts in my original statement are implied, and only the biggest partisan shills would have no idea what I’m talking about. And here I am, so that shoots the whole “run away from facts” accussation right out of the sky.
And finally, look at the replies to my post. Almost all are name-calling, and these are YOUR people Rhonda. No surprise though, considering name-calling and accusations of racism are on page 1 of the Leftist Handbook, under the heading “What to do if you don’t have an intelligent response”. Have a nice day.

        • Marilyn Boeldt says:

Really? Do you have any money in your pocket?

          • Jim Gray says:

Apparently, he would turn back a policeman rushing to free him from an assailant. Or a fireman attempting to extinguish his house. And I’m sure he eschews traveling on public streets and highways. Or enjoying the services of publicly-educated workers.

          • Libertarians are just like house cats:
Completely dependent, and completely convinced of their independence.

          • roooth says:

            stealing that one, thnx!

        • Robert H. says:

Do you drive on roads? Have you ever called for a policeman or fireman? Ever been to a public library? You have? You’re a SOCIALIST!!!!
See the idiocy in your statements? Of course you don’t. FOX ‘news’ presents them to you as fact, and you suck it up like a good little sponge.

          • Brian says:

            (Shaking head in disbelief…)
The exorbitant City, State and Federal taxes I pay FROM THE MONEY I EARN BY WORKING FOR A LIVING pays for the roads I drive on, the Fire or Police officers who services I may one day need (though haven’t to this point), and the Libraries in my City.

Your implication that all of this is provided for free shows an incredible ignorance of the system and how the real world works. That Sir is Socialism; the fact that you think all of this is and/or should be provided by the government out of the goodness of its heart.

So here’s an idea Robert, get a job and try it out for yourself. I believe you’ll be surprised how much better you’ll feel about yourself knowing you are a responsible person who doesn’t choose to suckle at the government teat for their very existence!

    • Hagbard Celine says:

      Brian want a cracker?

    • Mary says:

LOL ” Brian is a proven liar, a hypocrite and a Socialist….but I don’t have to give any proof, If I write it, it is SO”. Difference between Progressives and repuglicans, FACTS. Progressives believe in them…but repuglicans are skeered of those mean ol’ FACTS, huh Brian.

    • glantern35 says:

Any proof of this Brian? Can you cite her lies with actual links and evidence or are we supposed to take your word for it?

      • Brian says:

Seriously? You are willing to prove how big of a Leftist sheep you really are by asking this question?
For starters, Warren lied about her ethnicity to get a job at Harvard. ALL over the news. Only the most close-minded and apathetic don’t know about this.
She also lied about practicing law in Massachusetts without a liscense.
She’s accumulating wealth in office, all the while railing against people who are accumulating wealth. There’s your hypocrisy.
If you want more — and it’s there, do your own research…I’m not your secretary.

Then again, I’ve never known a Liberal to let FACTS get in the way of a good whine. So you Folks keep drinking that kool-aid, keep cashing those government checks, and keep your heads in the sand, lest your Messiah Obama be unhappy with you.

        • glantern35 says:

Hahahahaha…. dude, you are such a moron. You mean she’s getting paid to do her job? She’s getting wealthy? Wow, that’s really unprecedented. All those other people in Congress working for free and she’s cashing her checks. Wow. You’re a true mensa candidate for sure. Your hatred for the word liberal is clear. You seem to feel your your conservative nature makes you superior to others. To be honest, I hope Warren is guilty of all the things you say just because it pisses you off. How does that feel?

        • Talespinning says:

Warren is not anti-wealth - she’s anti corporations and their leaders being given the license to rip off citizens.

    • Dawn's Early Light says:

LOL? What are you? A 16 year old girl?
      Schmuck.

  • Linda Parra says:

She is a phenomenal Senator. We need many more like her who will zero in on issues that require attention. The things she focuses on benefit the middle class & the poor. Most of those ‘things’ were inflicted on all of us by the wealthy and/or greedy in the past.

    • Rhonda Warmack Houston says:

Ms. Parra, Elizabeth Warren is exactly that, a ‘phenomenal government advocate’ for the people. All of those ‘things’ are inflicted on all of us, by those who are once in office in Washington, who once arriving on that ivory hill, begin to pretend that the people are not listening and watching, which is why they find it so easy to lie to us, here at the bottom of the economic scale. I don’t believe Ms Warren is of that caliber and is the reason, she scares those who work on Wall Street to death about their false and devious methods of making money for themselves, and those who are continuously moving from a big bank job into a high governmental job, which is ‘collusion of a revolving door’ which causes more trouble for us at the bottom of the economic scale.

  • Obama's Son says:

  • Rhonda Warmack Houston says:

Scott Walker’s friends are the Koch Brothers, who do not want people to unite and be strong. Koch brothers want people who they can dictate to and pay the least that is required. Schooling is not necessary for people who work within corporations because corporations do not want bright and motivated people or leaders, but those who will follow the rules and do what they are told to do…no thinking is required and not wanted while working within a factory or a corporation. Unions can unite and can demand more money to live, when people are educated, there may very well be able to find a way to justify a reason for a better living while working within a corporation, which the Koch brothers would hate to have happen. Scott Walker has been the Koch brothers’ puppet since he was Wisconsin’s governor and when someone calls another out on a ‘truth’, it is hard to maintain one’s credibility. If the people vote Scott Walker in as President, just KNOW that the Koch Brothers will be moving into the White House.

    • LetsJustVoidTheBillOfRights says:

Aaah. The Koch Brothers inanity again. Lady, aside from the several absolutely ludicrous statements you’ve made concerning corporations and the quality of the employees they seek out (and NEED to remain competitive) AND aside from the FACT that labor unions have been INSTRUMENTAL (though not the only cause, to be sure) in driving costs so high many thousands (even millions) of jobs have ended up out of the country or GONE FOREVER… ASIDE from those truths, there are FAR more liberal contributors, whose contributions FAR outdistance the Koch Brothers donations. In fact, literal TONS of contributions to liberal causes, institutions of “higher learning”, and CANDIDATES here in America, POUR in essentially UNREPORTED, LET ALONE SCRUTINIZED, from many of the very WORST enemies of peace, freedom and AMERICA into liberal war chests and other coffers. From across the length and breadth of Middle East. From socialist/communist sympathizers throughout Europe AND the Far East. Oh, yes, and China and Russia. Doesn’t it bother you AT ALL to let your STUPID hang out for EVERYONE to see? Just for a minute or two, STOP listening to the rhetoric. Open a book. Do an Internet search or two. LEARN SOMETHING before you flap your gums, willya?

      • Nik says:

The Koch Brothers thank you for your idiocy.

        • LetsJustVoidTheBillOfRights says:

Brilliant response. Brilliant. If you have nothing relevant, or even interesting, to offer, don’t waste my time. I won’t respond.

          • As if your little rant was anything more than one-sided opinion and hyperbole.
Funny, amid all the caps, I didn’t catch the actual names of any of those folks who’s financial influence far outdistance the Koch brothers. Not that I’m not aware of the fact that wealthy donors exist on all sides; but seriously, colleges? Enemies of peace and freedom? As a matter of fact, I didn’t see actual evidence of one thing.
Emotional rants aren’t evidence of anything. When you instructed her to learn something before flapping her gums whilst you were flapping yours, you really meant, “you should be getting all of your information from Far-Right sites that don’t even pretend to value informed debate”, right?
By the way, anyone who thinks the Socialist/Communist bogeyman is a threat to anything, anywhere in 2015 needs to widen their scope of information.

Just proves there is an incredibly stupid way to view the contributions of American unions. Unions built the middle class, the people who actually spend money and keep the economy growing and alive. Lost/out sourced jobs are completely related to corporate profit and upper management salaries at the expense of workers. Let’s also admit that Walkers union targets are primarily public service jobs, jobs of people working hard to educate and protect American. These people are the heart and soul of this country. Look back 50-60 years and you’ll find strong unions, a growing economy and an educated work force the best in the world. Unions and a strong economy are not exclusive.

Notice by the way that my Cap Lock didn’t once get stuck.

      • lostinbago says:

Inanity? The Kochs are planning on their network to spend almost a billion dollars in the next election. Whether you agree with them or not is not the question. It is, “is it healthy for democracy to have a small group of billionaires spend more to influence an election that the amount hundreds of thousands of union workers can collect and spend to influence an election?”
I would think thousands should influence more on what America needs than a small group of the wealthy. i don’t object to their wealth, I object to their wealth being used to buy political influence greater than what thousands of voters have.

        • LetsJustVoidTheBillOfRights says:

Of COURSE you’re right. Absolutely right. But until the laws are 1) changed, and 2) ENFORCED, and 3) enforced EQUALLY across the political spectrum, which rarely happens during Republican administrations, and NEVER, EVER happens during liberal administrations, If you imagine that liberals will ALLOW themselves to be outspent by the Koch’s, YOU, sir, are the delusional one, along with a bag full of mindless political HACKS and HACKETTES posting right here. Like it or not, here’s the TRUTH: Those on BOTH sides who CAN buy influence and elections WILL buy influence and elections. And candidates are going to suck it ALL up without excuse, without batting an eye and, for the most part, denying it vociferously. Are Republicans guilty of it? Of course. As for liberals, countless unreported, unaudited millions (some claim a billion and more during The Hillary Beast’s run against The Obamanation and the Obamanation’s run against McCain) find their way into liberal lockboxes - BOTH from the Middle East/Europe AND Wall Street - every election cycle. Has The Obamanation done ANYTHING to curb Wall Street influence as he promised? Of course not. That money (and the now essentially unprosecuted FINE ART of ballot box stuffing) MAKES the difference, and the Streeters AND the commies AND the just-plain-CROOKS AND the Muslims AND the Russians AND the Chinese and the MINDLESS HOLLYWOOY MORONS are ALL competing vigorously for favorable treatment, favorable laws and non-enforcement as needed. THEY ALL give to those who will write the most favorable laws this year… If you are a realist, you MUST know one side (conservatives) CANNOT be expected to “play fair” (if there issuch a thing…) if the other side (liberals, commies, elites, unions, etc) does not. Laws and equal enforcement, brother. Nothing less……… Until then, don’t piss on me and not on the other side. I can’t hear you…

          • lostinbago says:

Your “you lie’ icon is a perfect preface for your response.
“Laws are NEVER enforced”? is the biggest pile of slag imaginable.

If you were right, how would you explain the highest rate of people jailed out of any modern country? If anything, we have too harsh of a penal system and too many laws and too much enforcement on too small a group of citizens.
Keep on listening to fox until you can’t recognize an obvious error when you hear it or repeat it or write it such as, “too little enforcement or You can’t see how it would be impossible for the working class to come close to matching spending by the multibillionaire families like the Kochs and the Waltons and the Duponts and the Adelmanns who own 95% of the disposable assets of the nation.

          • LetsJustVoidTheBillOfRights says:

Fox? This didn’t come from Fox. It came from the PUBLIC RECORD, you MORON…! Aaah, that felt good (and YOU will never know why - ain’t that a kick in the head?). Now, try to focus on the subject at hand, lost… I KNOW that’s difficult for you, but TRY, ok? Changing the subject OR digressing away from the central issue(s) doesn’t work with me. We WERE talking about enforcement of ELECTION LAWS, ILLEGAL CONTRIBUTIONS and POLITICAL INFLUENCE PEDDLING - not laws in general. We were NOT having a conversation about America’s high rate of conviction and incarceration for violations of laws IN GENERAL…(one BIG reason, by the way, is that, rather than simply shooting, beheading or otherwise murdering those we don’t like - as so often happens in The Land Of Our Enemies - we offer criminals DUE PROCESS. Does that process work as well as it should? Too often it does not. But again, the key - in general - is crafting better laws and ENFORCING THEM EQUALLY. But that is a complex and nuanced debate for another venue, and one I surely won’t have with a meathead who can’t focus OR come up with a relevant response) TO THE POINT, we were talking about essentially NO ONE being prosecuted or jailed for violating election-related laws. So, if you can offer some kind of lucid argument that we DO enforce our election/contributions laws - as I did with the public records DOCUMENTATION about “Who contributes more” game we just played, PLEASE do. I’d love to read it. lost, it’s no surprise you cannot accept FACT, even when it IS researched FOR you and put RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. Your (liberals, generally) brains are incorrectly wired and, without intense motivation, simply don’t process information you do not wish to accept. So, again, try to focus. I know it’s difficult for you, but do try. You’ll get better responses. Don’t bother replying. I’m done with YOU, too.

  • Kyle Michel Sullivan says:

Elizabeth Warren rocks. Hillary could learn some things from her, but won’t.

  • The Reader says:

The fact is anyone with the heart, mind and caring of Elizabeth Warren is capable of responding to the Scott Walkers who make asinine statements. It helps if the person has a “way with words” but there are script writers who make people look clever every day so responses are possible (not that a huge group in congress seeks out or listens to anyone who could make them sound sensible, but…. oh well). Elizabeth Warren would probably make an excellent president. Unfortunately, there are too few lawmakers in congress whose vote is directly connected to the what’s best for the people. Warren is one of a few so for now, we need to keep her in the trenches where she is so effective.
Obama is an eloquent speaker, smart and able to look at the big picture, but he is locked into the will of congress, and his executive orders produce such a badgering by these same people in congress that he is unable or slow to accomplish the needs of the country. It would be a shame to waste Warren by putting her in Obama’s shoes?

          • Joe Langella says:

            ROOOTH Want some facts?
how about the fact that since the federal takeover of our education system we have dropped from first to 23 in the world.
The indoctrination from a monopoly called the federal government who`s only goal is to teach our children that government is great will never let them know the truth because they are the purveyors of the propaganda George Sorros the lefts communist manipulator gave 100 million dollars to the Texas board that approves all school books in the country with the stipulation that is does not show a favorable accounting for republicans I call that communism
OR how about the fact that two years ago the Chicago teachers union went on strike to milk the taxpayers for a 16% raise when the city was already in the whole for teachers that only pass 22% of students and receive a average of 78,000 a year and 77% of those same teachers won`t send their own kids to them same public schools????
and that is what your trying to sell me?

          • Facts?

I would like to know where you are getting those things you call facts from.

“In 2010, the Texas Board of Education ordered changes to history and economics textbooks, ruling that they must reflect a far-right interpretation of these topics. Saying they are only “adding balance,” the board ordered changes including:

Saying Senator Joe McCarthy was correct to charge that the U.S. government was infiltrated by communists.

Refusing to include Latino figures like Cesar Chavez as role models.

Saying Thomas Jefferson did not play a major role among the founding fathers, and removing him from a list of figures whose writings inspired late-18th-century and 19th-century revolutions elsewhere.

Requiring teaching that the country’s founding fathers were all Christians.

Questioning the separation of church and state and refusing an amendment declaring that, “the founding fathers protected religious freedom in America by barring the government from promoting or disfavoring any particular religion above all others.”

Ordering that the word “capitalism” be replaced in all textbooks with the “free-enterprise system.”

Ordering the teaching of “the conservative resurgence of the 1980s and 1990s, including Phyllis Schlafly, the Contract With America, the Heritage Foundation, the Moral Majority and the National Rifle Association.”

Ordering that students should study “the unintended consequences” of the Great Society legislation, affirmative action and Title IX legislation.” -salon

But that’s Texas’ Board of education, and we all know they’re a little nutty.
How about the textbook board, which influences what goes in school books nationwide?

“Bitter ideological disputes over what is taught in Texas classrooms have for years attracted national attention. The new books follow the state academic curriculum adopted in 2010, when Republicans on the board approved standards including conservative-championed topics like Moses and his influence on systems of law. They said those would counter what they saw as liberal biases in classrooms.

Friday’s 10-to-5 vote, with all Republicans on the board supporting the books and Democrats opposing them, was the first of its kind since 2002. The books will be used for at least a decade.” -ny times, 9/2014

If George Soros(whom I, and most leftists care not a whit about, despite the claims to the contrary I’m always hearing)tried to have any influence, he sure did a sh*tty job.

Not sure where you got your facts from and some of which you state are correct, but there are also some false statements in there.
First of all there is no separation of church and state in our constitution the only mention of religion in the constitution is what you stated that the federal government will not favor any one religion.
We do not teach the constitution in our school books anymore that`s the problem.
I recently went up to Portland state university to hand out free copies of our constitution only to get kicked off the campus and told to take my propaganda elsewhere
What`s that tell you of the suppressive so called tolerant left?
If you attend a class in politics in college and try to introduce a conservative point of view you will be subjected to failure or told to keep your opinion to yourself.
IF we want to be fair in our textbooks then we would show both sides of the issue and open it up for discussion or debate
That is not happening now and if you think I`m wrong go try it at any university and see what happens.
School books should be decided by local school boards to reflect what the people in that district want not this centralized planning we now have as one size fits all policy only leads to indoctrination.

          • Whatever your opinion is regarding the way we run the education system, you are entitled to it.
But you could not be more wrong about one thing, at the very least: There is most certainly a separation of church and state in the constitution. The U.S. is secular when it comes to civic life, and interaction between citizens. That is a fact.
I attended college. There were several conservatives in all of my political science classes. They all did just fine, grade wise, and though I am far removed from those years, I don’t remember any of them being told to keep their opinions to themselves.
That’s anecdotal, I know, but it’s at least as worthy as anything you provided.

          • Joe Langella says:

            Melessa
I attended Portland state a very liberal university and I did have
Problems with voicing my opinion but I understand not all colleges are like that.
but as far as your rebuttal on the contents of our Constitution including the phrase separation of church and state please site what section that is in because I have studied it for a long time and never seen it?????

          • Spare me the faux wide-eyed wonderment, please. Do you honestly believe that this is the first time I, or anyone has had this discussion? I know the drill. It’s right there in the first ten words. You are convinced it says something else. I’m simply not going to have this juvenile debate for the gazillionth time with someone determined to make it fit their purposefully ignorant confirmation bias.
Unfortunately for you, the overwhelming number of those who’s job it is to know the constitution have disagreed with you, and for a very, very long time.

          • Joe Langella says:

Oh please spare me the defection for the gazillionth time that the fact you are claiming something that is not on our Constitution to actually be there. It’s not and just like all progressives you put your wishes ahead of what is the law of the land just because you decided it don’t fit your narrative
There is no separation of church and state in our Constitution I am right you are wrong end of story.

          • Angry tuff guy. That’s adorable. :-)
Almost all constitutional scholars, Just about every court, everywhere, and Jefferson all say you are full of p**p.

Sorry sweetheart, but you are completely mistaken.

          • Joe Langella says:

Melissa really? not sure where you get your info from but read the constitution again or at least read it because there will always be some that dispute what it says.
But facts are facts. and this one is clear the only thing the constitution calls for is not favoring one religion over another,
If you intrepid that as separation then you are misinformed.
And no not most of constitutional judges or scholars agree with you .
You may find some but in know way is it almost all not even close sorry.

          • I’m sorry, but you are completely, utterly wrong.

Separation of Church and state is a thing. The Establishment Clause is a thing. The United States is a secular nation

Separation of church and state was used by Jefferson, in exactly those words.

The United States is in no way a Christian nation, and those words were written exactly that way ,in the Treaty of Tripoli, ratified unanimously by Congress, and signed by President Adams.

Time and time again the Supreme Court has decided that while freedom to worship as one wishes is an important right, religion may not have influence over civic life. In other words, freedom from religion in public life is equally important.

            McCollum v. Board of Education Dist. 71, 333 U.S. 203 (1948)
Court finds religious instruction in public schools a violation of the establishment clause and therefore unconstitutional.

            Torcaso v. Watkins, 367 U.S. 488 (1961)
Court holds that the state of Maryland cannot require applicants for public office to swear that they believed in the existence of God. The court unanimously rules that a religious test violates the Establishment Clause.

            Engel v. Vitale, 82 S. Ct. 1261 (1962)
Any kind of prayer, composed by public school districts, even nondenominational prayer, is unconstitutional government sponsorship of religion.

          • Joe Langella says:

Melessa while I respect you point of view and understand what you are trying to do the only point I was making is there is a difference between separation of church and state and what is written in our Constitution.
Yes we are a secular nation But in god we trust 8th also there for a reason.

          • Actually, no.
You and others are as free as you always were to worship as you please.
Neat trick there, putting “values” after “Judo[sic]christian, then implying that “those who choose not to” are somehow lacking said values.
You have absolutely no idea whatsoever what was in anyone’s mind when the constitution was written, as far as religious belief is concerned. I can tell you this: No creator is ever, ever mentioned.

I don’t have any problem with symbolic and ceremonial gestures, such as “in god we trust”(you are aware, aren’t you, that that motto wasn’t on the currency until the mid 1950’s, right?), oaths on bibles, or a quick prayer before a council meeting, as long as anyone is free to decline, or not take part without being treated differently.
You are completely mistaken when you claim that respect for one’s beliefs is not adhered to anymore. What a bunch of hyperbole. That may be true in some quarters, and I could write a book on the backlash against religion after centuries of dominance, and the backlash against the backlash. Whatever. The point is, no one, anywhere in this country, is being prohibited from worshiping whatever deity they want to and how they see fit, so long as it doesn’t have any effect on anyone else’s lives.
I have all necessary respect for other’s beliefs. I don’t care what you believe. Keep it away from the law and the science classroom, and we’ll get along just fine.

As far as the constitution is concerned, I laid out a comprehensive case for the existence of the Establishment Clause, and the existence of separation of church and state in the first amendment, complete with a case history, among other things, in my previous comment. You choose to ignore every single word of it, and discuss something else. I guess I don’t blame you.
But the FACT remains that separation of church and state is a thing. I provided you with evidence. You responded with nothing but your opinion.
In the end, you are wrong. You could not be more wrong.

          • Talespinning says:

Yeah….so true…..when I was in school, my state was always in first to 3rd place in its standards of education…then some guy named Ronald Reagan became Governor and took down everything good about that State in just a few years. Oh wait you said “Federal takeover” - - Oh I guess Ronnie was just ahead of the times - nevermind.

    • Amy says:

How does a public school teacher wreck a conservative kid’s future?

Teachers don’t get to choose whether or not to implement common core. That’s decided at the state level and implemented municipally by school boards and building administrators.

Teachers don’t get to deny graduation. That’s decided at the state level by state graduation requirements and at a local level by local graduation requirements.

    • Joe Langella says:

let`s just void the bill of rights
VERY WELL SAID and glad to see someone with common sense fighting the ignorant hatful bloggers spewing their poison to the sheep that believe them.

  • DavidBehar says:

Elizabeth Warren will raise taxes to pay back her constituencies, worthless government make work workers.
If you are a liar, as she is, her being a vile feminist lawyer, it is trolling. She should get blocked.

    • Amy says:

That might be plausible if Massachusetts weren’t one of the states paying more in federal taxes than we get back in federal money. The top “taker” states are almost all red states in the deep south.

  • Elizabeth Warren is wonderful.
However, one individual can only accomplish so much. As President, she would be forced to do what Presidents must….compromise, dial down the rhetoric, appoint middle of the road status-quo equivocators, and work within the sick, money driven system we currently have. Remember, President Obama originally tapped her as leader of the Financial Consumer Protection Board, and was thwarted, and that’s the main reason she ran for the Senate.
Nonetheless, Warren is impressive, and I hope she remains that way.

  • Skylar says:

It’s so much fun watching people argue over which person is best to run their lives for them. How about we stop supporting politicians and just keep government out of our lives? These politicians don’t care about you. They’re putting on a show so you’ll funnel millions of taxpayer dollars to them. It doesn’t matter which side you’re on, because none of them are on YOUR side.

I know, freedom is too radical an idea for America…

    • That’s a great idea. let’s simply get rid of out entire system of governance, and local governments, as well. With 300 million people, in the 21st century, that won’t be a problem at all.
We’ll be free. Nothing will work. But we’ll have all that freedumb.

    • waraji says:

Does that mean you don’t vote?

    • Amy says:

I don’t know about you, but I like the government inspecting kitchens to make sure the food prepared there is reasonably clean. I like the government inspecting buildings to make sure they’re up to code and don’t collapse. I like the government forcing businesses to pay their workers at least minimum wage, because I don’t like the idea of people slaving away for next to nothing like we had in the early days of the industrial revolution. I like the government forcing kids to go to school because I don’t like living in a country of stupid people.

      • Skylar says:

None of those things require the force of government to accomplish. There are TONS of voluntary associations that provide people with confidence that they are dealing with a respectable businesses. And I’m not sure I’d be forcing government schooling on everyone, considering that it seems to have brainwashed you into thinking that government is the only thing keeping the world from falling apart, as though without someone threatening you to behave, you would suddenly go out an start selling people infected meat and forcing people into slavery.

Appeals to government are always more telling about the person ASKING to be ruled, because it means you don’t trust yourself to behave without someone constantly keeping you in line.

And yes, you’ll say “It’s not ME I’m worried about, it’s OTHER PEOPLE.” And that’s the same thing, which you’d recognize if you actually used logic instead of emotion.

        • Amy says:

No, I don’t think that with anarchy I’d be selling people infected meat or forcing people into slavery. Nice try there with the straw man. But…..when infected meat is sold, it’s due to a lack of regulation. When slavery occurs, it’s due to laws against trafficking not being enforced. And mandatory schooling doesn’t automatically equal “government” schooling. Families are free to choose public, private, charter, or home schooling.

And seriously, you don’t have to take my word for anything. Look at history. Look at what employment was like for most people before labor laws; look at what it’s still like for many when labor laws are relaxed or insufficiently enforced. That IS logic, not emotion. Emotion is calling public schools “government” schools and using hyperbolic language as you did above.

And by TONS (caps yours), you must have a few examples. So what are they?

Isn’t this headline a bit sensational? Clickbait much? Elizabeth Warren took a swipe at Walker via Twitter. I doubt that I’d find any news on CNN or NYTimes about Walker “completely destroyed”.

  • Joe Langella says:

The authors or blogger of these fake stories really should do their homework first b-4 trying to defame a obvious threat to their propaganda like Scott Walker .He has done more to help the people of Wisconsin recover from the cancer known as progressivism by freeing the taxpayers and government employees from being forced into uunion’s and given them a choice to join or not your spin is not only a flat out lie but shows why only ignorant sheep would follow your b.s.
Yes unions helped build the middle class in America in the private sector but has never helped anyone but themselves in the public sector because government don’t have to worry about profits it just takes more from taxpayer’s to pay for the average of 52% more for the same job in public vs. private which just adds to the shortage we need to operate schools police fire get it now? Look at California the most progressive.state with unfunded debt of almost a trillion bucks mostly from pensions that politicians gave to unions and no ask for more money or they have to cut little Suzy lunch. Time to wake up and stop believing fake Indians with a silver spoon in her mouth telling everyone else how evil the rich are.

Gawd you guys are morons. Walker wasn’t talking about “teachers” he was talking about the union leaders. A third-grader could have figured that out.

  • Cavendish says:

“If Scott Walker sees 100,000 teachers and firefighters as his enemies, maybe it’s time we take a closer look at his friends.” Exactly. His friends are destroying our lives.

  • Amy says:

Elizabeth Warren is a US senator. She has absolutely no impact on the state tax rates in Massachusetts or any other blue state. So no, my statement was not completely false; it was and is completely true. Dollar for dollar, the states getting more from the federal government than they send in are overwhelmingly (though not entirely) red, and the states sending more TO the federal government than they get are overwhelmingly (though not entirely) blue. The comment to which I was replying was in regard to Warren raising taxes to “pay back her constituencies,” which is complete BS.

  • Chuck says:

You left out a bit of history. After WWII the US was the only country (of any size) with an economy left standing. Without that circumstance our GDP would not have grown over those post-war years at the rate it did. Unions can hardly take credit for that. In fact without the rapidly expanding economy of that time I doubt that we could have afforded the salaries and benefits that autoworkers, steel workers and the like received. The world has grown more competitive the last 40 or so years. It is clear that wages, benefits and productivity must be competitive to keep industry on-shore.

  • Chuck says:

Warren’s ability to pounce on an obvious gaff is under whelming.

There are many of us who can lay claim to a Native American Ancestry and have used that in search of a leg-up. (Unfortunately I was adopted so was never registered - but if I had been, you better believe I would have used it.) My thinking is, iif Warren’s pulled away from the “ragged edge of the middle class” to 5.4 million dollar digs, then she knows exactly what she’s lecturing about.

  • LetsJustVoidTheBillOfRights says:

Well, this has been a fascinating, if entirely unsurprising, little excursion. So MUCH MORE I could say about EVERY response being FOX-bashing and/or FACTLESS, truly empty-headed liberal drivel. I won’t waste any more of MY time on you. Suffice it to say that, as is ALWAYS the case when I venture into STUPID LAND, not a single one of you addressed a single FACT I presented. Not a single relevant question was posed. Apparently not a single one of you even bothered to follow any of the links I provided you for DOCUMENTATION - and which NONE OF YOU PROVIDED in rebuttal. Not a single denial based on the PUBLIC information any of you turdpolishers can search up…if you WANT TO. I daresay, not an intelligent thought process of any kind among you. And no, it is not a matter of public record. Thanks to the activist judges on the SCOYUS and their ruling on Citizen’s United, it is no longer a requirement to ID donors and the amounts they give to campaigns. The numbers you reference from big Dem contributors in no way add up to the BILLION dollars the fascist Koch brothers will pour into buying elections. And there are many more Teapublican donors dumping huge amounts into Freedom Works and other right wing PACs solely aimed buying elections. We see it here in Kentucky in the governor’s race with Koch money supporting
    Hal Heiners campaign.
