Ted Cruz has a brand new campaign logo. Too bad he didn’t spend 5 seconds Googling it before he decided to use it, or he could have saved himself a lot of strangely appropriate mockery.
The new logo is “TRUSTED” to imply Ted can be trusted (TRUS TED). Pretty straightforward so far, right? Ted only WISHES it was that easy.
Here is an image of the new campaign logo:
Let’s focus on that first white bit. Here is what a TRUS is:
A transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) is an ultrasound technique that is used to view a man’s prostate and surrounding tissues. The ultrasound transducer (probe) sends sound waves through the wall of the rectum into the prostate gland, which is located directly in front of the rectum. TRUS may also be called prostate sonogram or endorectal ultrasound.

Can you honestly think of a better or more appropriate metaphor for a Ted Cruz presidential campaign than this?
You couldn’t have paid 10 comedy writers to create something better with a whole month to work on it. Seriously, do Republicans not even think to Google stuff anymore? It’s 2016 for God’s sake. Somehow the idea of thinking about the word “transrectal” in relation to anything Cruz does just feels right to me. How about you all?
If you google TRUS you don’t even get anywhere near Ted Cruz on the first page. Go on, try it and tell us of you actually see Cruz show up in the first couple pages. Every time we try, it’s like the internet itself has said no to the idea of a Cruz presidency.
