And So It Begins — Speaker Paul Ryan Refuses To Work With President Obama On Immigration (VIDEO)

Boy, that didn’t take long. Senator Paul Ryan, ultra-conservative new Speaker of the House of Representatives, took a shovel and began drawing his big proverbial line in the sand today. Apparently, Ryan feels the need to appeal to his nutters colleagues on the far right.

In an interview that aired Sunday on ABC “This Week,” Ryan said that he would NOT introduce legislation to address immigration reform while President Obama remains in office.

I think it would be a ridiculous notion to try and work on an issue like this with a president we simply cannot trust on this issue.

This from a man who thinks building border fences is a “top priority.”

Ryan continued to insult the President, stating,

He tried to go it alone, circumventing the legislative process with his executive orders so that is not in the cards. I think if we reach consensus on how best to achieve border and interior enforcement security, I think that’s fine.

Here’s a news flash for you, Mr. Speaker. The President wouldn’t have felt the need to “go it alone” had he not been surrounded by a do-nothing Congress controlled by the Party of No. Maybe if you had gotten off your dead asses, listened to the American people, and actually done the job for which you were elected, the President wouldn’t have written all those “heinous” Executive Orders.

Looks like the honeymoon is over. And we thought Boehner was bad.

Let’s hear this divisiveness from his own mouth:

If you don’t already know. It is in his eyes this man hate the President. And it goes deeper than anything I have ever sensed from another human being. I feel his hatred stems from a black man being our president he hates it with a passion. And that man is President Obama. He will never show Mr Obama any respect. It turns his stomach to know a black man has lived in the white house.

    • Croix-Ronald Coppáge

It’s a sad a pathetic scenario; however, I believe many African-Americans are in agreement with you!

  • Kat Martindale

    Is anyone really surprised?

  • Joe Langella

Ryan is right this president cannot be trusted on any issue and it’s not because he is black that’s absurd and nothing but race baiting.
I’m sure he does dislike this president just like the majority of Americans.
I know many that would not vote for him that did the first time.
Failed promises had a tendency to do that.
    And pocket books.
People eventually find out results is all that matters and the fact that is undisputed is people are worst off now than 7 years ago.
Our status in the world had diminished to the point even our allies feel betrayed.
Our economy is flat with little or no growth.
The obamacare failures are starting to show and my next year when the subsides run out we will need to rename it the unaffordable health care.
He has decided like a kid scorned to bypass congress which just alienated the parties even more.
Our race relations have got ting worst for the first time since the 60’s because of the race baiting he does.
He alone has put us 10 trillion more in debt which is a betrayal of our future.
Nope Ryan is right he can’t be trusted that must be earned not givin.

    • duedah

Um, what year are you in, the economy is better now than in the last 7 years and the ACA is working. You don’t like him cuz he’s black, just admit it instead of giving us a bunch of b******* that’s not true SMH

      • madmaxx

joe is suffering from either limbaughism or the same condition that plagues ryan Black POTUSITIS both plagues of the highest order.
GET SOME HELP. THERE IS HOPE

      • Mike Hardy

LOL LOL LOL, The economy is better?????? 48 illion people on food stamps. 37% increase in welfare. Unemployment in parts of the Country still at over12%. National debt hit an all time high of 19 trillion. ACA is working????? OMG, Are you joking?? LOL My God, google about ACA. It devastating!! It has literally in some cases tripled peoples medical payments! And most insurance companies are not accepting people with it! GOOGLE IT! President Obama will go down as theee WORST President this Country has EVER witnessed.

        • duedah

Wow, you really do live under a rock, but I did get a good laugh at your old and quite boring lies and talking points. Thanks :)

    • okiefrom

      Several untruths in this post.

    • biglt

How does the tripling of the stock market under Present Obama fit into you “flat economy” nonsense?

      • Joe Langella

        Bigot
Because it has nothing to do with the economy.
The majority of people investing in the stock market are speculative investments based on profits to shareholders before the stock market crash in the 1920’s the market skyrocketed to all time highs just like now.
Our growth rate is at 1.5%
We need to be at 4% to be healthy
It’s as flat as it can be right now please go do some research on it.

        • biglt

The housing crash had nothing to do with lowering the standards, per se. Junk bonds and penny stocks are massively traded with no repercussions when they tank. That is because everyone knows what they are buying. By the GOP deregulating the banksters, and allowing them to hide/falsify the quality of the mortgages that they were selling, while simultaneously allowing them to place bets that the mortgage packages they were selling would default (not to mention bets on those bets, etc.) iIS the root problem. To the tune of something like $7 TRILLION that we foot the bill for. Thanks, GOP - not.

          • Joe Langella

            Bigot
Just where are you getting your information from?
            Mother jones?
And just where is it the Republicans fault?
You really are being feed false info
The GOP was not the one’s that deregulated the banks although there were a few that did the house was under democratic control so go blame Pelosi and her cronyism.

          • Josie

You will never change your mind and you will blindly lead forward. Facts are that the Republican party believes in giving more and more to the rich and that it eventually trickle down to the poor. They are against social programs. Do you honestly believe that will benefit America? I was disappointed in President Obama for not bringing home all our men. I don’t give a twit for the Middle East. President Bush, the second one, wanted to attack Iran and it was all about the oil. We do not need fossil fuels, and we are smart enough to come up with alternatives. We all need to look in our hearts and then move forward.

          • Josie

No, it was Clinton and the Republican Congress; they held hands to do the Devil’s work. Read how Bush’s sons, especially Neil and Jeb, used that to enrich themselves.

    • Alice Perkins

You truly are an idiot aren’t you? What rock were you living under when Bush dug us in to the hole that Obama has almost gotten us out of? And yes Ryan hates our President! I don’t know if it’s about race or not, I have that inclination to think so, when he talks about the President his eyes look cold and expressionless. If the Congress would work with our President we would have seen progress that would have been able to take place only in the USA, but no they have held us back from our full potential because they hate him. Give facts that we are worse off than 7 years ago. He hasn’t alienated any party against the other, the Republicans have done that all by themselves.

      • Joe Langella

        Alice Perkins
I deal with factual data only not what’s feed to me from a ideology that has a agenda.
First of all the housing crash in 2008 that caused the downturn was caused by Clinton not bush because of the lowering of standards on loans.
Bush is part to blame for not stopping it I agree with that and bush spent too much money just like a democrat.
He put us 4 trillion more in debt in 8 years.
Obama when he was running the first time said bush was irresponsible in his spending and was selling out the future of our children.
President Obama was right he was.
However now president he turns around and spends double the amount that Bush spent expanding entitlements when the economy is still struggling to recover yet no one calls him out on his gross irresponsible spending????
As far as facts that we are worst off now that’s easy and I won’t list all of them but here’s a few.
Medium income down from 2008 by a average of 2,500 per family.
Food stamp recipients up 25 million
Labor participation rate the lowest in 35 years.
        Poverty up 12%
        Shall I go on?
If this is what you concidered moving foward please count me out.

        • Alice Perkins

You sir are an IDIOT! Spout your nonsense to someone else, and I count you out. You can spin the story anyway you want to…Hahaha spending just like a Democrat? If you are a Republican that’s fine, but you are truly delusional if you think only Democrats spend. I guess Clinton started the war with Iraq that was one of the stupidest thing that could have happened. It has cost this country more money, and still is than Obama has ever thought about spending on any program for the people of this country. You haven’t seen anything yet, I want to have a discussion if a Republican gets the presidency, lets discuss it in 2018 and see which side of your mouth you’re talking out of. By the way you can find actual data to support almost any theory you can come up with.

          • Joe Langella

            Alice Perkins
You can think what you want and I never said republicans don’t spend money if you look at some of my threads here you will see how I criticize bush.
And your so wrong on what Omaha has spent.
The bush wars cost between 2 and 3 trillion Obama has raised our debt over 10 trillion that’s a fact that can’t be spun
And anytime someone gets to the point that personal insults are used they just conceded any.valid argument they might have had.

          • goodmandawn

I would imagine that pulling the country out of recession and keeping it afloat is an expensive prospect and worth the expenditure. Republicans are wasteful spenders of taxpayer dollars. If you calculate the cost of paying full annual salaries to Congressmen who excessively vacation, and just say No when they are in session, the cost of initiating frivolous lawsuits, the cost of being defendants in court for defunding organizations that have been cleared of wrong doing, passing discriminatory voting laws that must be overturned in court, and launching two bogus Congressional hearings that concluded with the same determination of the 7 government agencies who investigated them before the televised witch hunting farce.

    • peacelovejoy

This is all so wrong. I think you must get your information from Fox News. President Obama is more popular than ever. The debt is lower than when Bush was president. Ryan’s disrespect is hateful. We have to vote all Republicans out of Congress. Democrats should be in control then things will get done in this country. Enough with blocking and refusal with moving forward .

      • Joe Langella

        Peace love joy
        Are you kidding me?
No one can be that gullible to believe the debt is less now than before Obama took office 10 trillion then in 2008
20 trillion now 7 years later
Is that what you call moving forward? ???
        Amazing.

    • Elie Challita

Dude, the majority of people who would not vote for Obama again are those who are disappointed that he wasn’t liberal enough. If anything they’re voting even more leftwards this time around.

      • goodmandawn

The majority of the people know that the President has limited powers and needs the help of legislators to pass laws. Obama was saddled with a Do nothing Congress thanks to the registered voters who voted for him and didn’t vote during the primary elections afterward. To elect cooperative legislators to help him. Republicans do not deserve to be rewarded for their obstructionist behavior with winning votes to do it again.

    • mamasnothappy1

Majority of the people? You live in a fantasy world. It’s obvious you weren’t around when the last President wasted trillions of dollars on an oil war to benefit him and his buddies. He left the country in shambles. Read some history you fool.

      • Joe Langella

        Mama’s not happy
        Excuse me?
Your the one that needs to look at history remember L.B.J? ring a bell?
He actually stole our trust fund money from social security to pay for the democratic Vietnam War where 56,000 Americans died almost triple the amount losses in Iraq
I spent a year of my life getting shot at to come home to pucks like you calling us baby killers without having a clue what really went on there.
And let’s not forget ww1 ww2 Korea all democratic wars.
So it’s the pot calling the kettle black
How come you exclude all the bad things your utopian ideology brings us but pounce on anything the opposition does?
        Grow up and face reality.

        • biglt

By law, the SS money was responsibly loaned out in treasury bills, with interest to accrue to SS. (Would you have had them keep it under a mattress some where?) Would you rather they borrowed the money from (and paid interest to) say, China? It was never stolen. However, today’s GOP would gladly default on paying back SS.

        • mamasnothappy1

You really don’t know history. He created Medicare. But many states won’t give their residents Medicaid which pays the co-pays, so Medicare is beyond many people’s reach. Who says Medicare hasn’t worked out for many people?

    • DorothyMadigan

Don’t be dumb. Obama won by a landslide both times. Moody’s poll (which hasn’t been wrong since 1980) has the Democrats winning in 2016 no matter who the nominees are. Wake up. Obama has reduced the deficit by a TRILLION DOLLARS. Match that, Ryan. No chance with the Republicans’ trickle-down nonsense.

    • goodmandawn

The credit for any unfulfilled promises during Obama’s time in office goes to the Do Nothing Congress who have refused to work with him on any level to pass bills that benefit common Americans. Every time a Black person speaks the truth about the racist behavior he or she is subjected to you call it race baiting. Get your people to repent for their evil ways and then you won’t have to listen to the truth that you don’t like that threatens your state of cognitive dissonance.

  • David Krueger

trust? you realized it’s all, literally, written into law, for you to read…oh wait, nevermind.

  • Eric

FKA ‘Mr. Ass*ole’, Now known as ‘Mr. Speaker Ass*ole’.

  • okiefrom

No wonder the Republican Speaker can’t agree with the President. The President actually wants to get something done! “Cooperation”? That’s HERESY in Republican ranks.

  • Christopher Thomas

what he really meant was, I can’t work with that n…… in the white house….I mean, lets be honest…thats what he REALLY wanted to say, but couldn’t….racists, the whole lot of them

    • Scott Kendall

no, your the racist by pulling the race card. People have a problem with Obama because he is ruining this country, not because of his skin color.

      • Hanitylies

Actually, Scotty-boy, he’s not ruining the country. Not by a long shot. I know you’re all in a tizzy about the gun-grabbing and the freedom-hating, but none of your delusional fears are valid. He’s actually done a lot of good. Can you imagine what would have been possible if not for the criminals and traitors of the GOP trying to stop everything? What a phenomenal waste of time and money, when so many Americans need them to get the frigging job done. You guys want to decide what the agenda is? Win an election.

      • Nannygoat

Yeah, especially all those who voted for BHO twice, and would gladly vote for him again if there weren’t a constitutional amendment against 3 terms.

  • mamasnothappy1

I once stated that Ryan was the Devil Incarnate. I still feel this way only more so today. What a joke he is. Like the rest of Republican field, we can wipe them out of Congress with just voting.

  • Thom Lee

Nothing new. Just another reprobate Republican doing what they have done for almost eight years now. He promised the teahadists he would before he took office. The wealthy can afford to be GOP. The rest of the voter base can’t afford to be but stupid enough to vote them in anyhow. What kind of imbecile votes against themselves? A conservative Christian fundamentalist imbecile!

  • DorothyMadigan

Hilarious. What did they expect, that a guy who worships Ayn Rand would have a brain? Obama will wipe up the floor with him. He’s got real intelligence, not borrowed from a crazy woman who changed her name to sound classy when she was an ill-bred ignoramus, and who railed against social programs and then took Social Security.

  • Robert Silver

    The
House of Representatives is now in the hands of a group of
fundamentalist religious zealots and an arrogant Ayn Rand disciple. They
will not govern by any means other than extortion to pursue their ideological
agendas. Bipartisan compromise is to them an abomination and to him
weakness. It is a dark time. They are indeed the American Taliban and he
is a tin god now attaining real power.
