Donald Trump began his first UN remarks by bragging about his nearby building and we’re only surprised that he didn’t bring up his hand-size, too.
After Nikki Haley, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, introduced Trump and said during her remarks that she saw “great potential” in the United Nations, Trump boasted of his “successful project” which he noted was “right across the street.”
“I actually saw great potential right across the street to be honest with you and it was only for the reason that the United Nations was here that that turned out to be such a successful project,” the former reality show star said.
The Trump World Tower which he’s referring to is a residential skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan.
After boasting of his building’s success, which is totally not a conflict of interest (wink wink), Trump went on to thank Haley both for her introduction and for the role she has played as U.N. envoy.

We want to commend Donald Trump for not bringing up his former rival, Hillary Clinton, or taking shots at former President Barack Obama. It must have been really hard for the grifter to hold back. And congrats, too, for not handing our electoral college maps to the world leaders in attendance upon his arrival at the event. However, those remarks were embarrassing AF, and they were given by a man who has little respect for the United Nations.
Politico reports:
For Donald Trump, appearing at the United Nations General Assembly this week will be a personal and political reckoning. The president has long nurtured a love-hate relationship with the organization, never quite getting over his failure to win a contract to refurbish its Turtle Bay headquarters in the early 2000s.”
It’s all about business for Trump, not the American people.
