Dylan James: Being A Christian Means You Lack Common Sense (VIDEO)

Dylan James’ first installment on the inconsistencies, contradictions and hypocrisy of the Bible and “God’s Plan” is hilarious, and should not be missed. He follows it up nicely with his second installment which can be seen below.

He’s very insightful and able to drill it down in terms that everyone can understand. He points out that Christians are so indoctrinated by the teachings of their church that they have completely lost the ability to question. Which is why, he surmises, that children are kept in the play room. Because if children were there for the services and their “teachings,” the children would constantly be questioning what they heard.

For example, you tell a child I want you to ‘eat this cracker.’ I want you think of this cracker as the flesh of your Lord and Savior. I want you to eat this cracker and think of it as flesh and drink this wine or grape juice or whatever you give them and I want you to think of it as his blood. That child is going to look at you like you’re f@king crazy. ‘You want me to eat this man? You want me to eat this and think of it as if I’m eating a person?’ You’re raising a f@king cannibal. That’s what you’re doing. Common sense tells you that.

He goes on to make great points about Noah and the Ark, and all the poop that the animals surely generated, and how common sense would dictate that things went down different than the way they say it did in the Bible. He also points out that if God is all-knowing and created everyone and everything, that God has created Satan, and if Satan is still around, then it’s God’s will. If God knows everything that’s happening and where everyone is, then Satan is here because God wants him here.

He’s pissing off Christians and enjoying himself immensely in the process.

This guy lists all the reasons why as soon as I was enough of an adult to put my foot down, I ran screaming from Christianity and haven’t looked back since.

    • Dean Dixon

I went into it as a child without influence from anyone. Once I was about 12 I began to question, began to reason, I was gone.

  • J. Richard Jacobs

Love you, Dylan. You have it straight.

I’m an atheist, but posting stories like this does nothing to help the progressive movement. There are people on the left who come from all kinds of faiths, including Christianity, and this only seeks to divide us.

Many of our progressive heroes are or were Christian. Both Roosevelt presidents, Mother Jones, Martin Luther King Jr., Jimmy Carter, and President Obama are all Christians. Not every Christian is a right-wing evangelical whackjob.

It’s one thing to attack conservative Christians for their hypocrisy, it’s another to put up stories that attack the religion directly. Save this stuff for the atheist blogs.

As soon as the Xians stop proselytizing, I’ll stop telling them they are loony-toons.

Those don’t sound like good arguments. They sound like weak arguments that people who don’t know the finer points of the faith could agree with. We don’t actually believe we’re eating someone when we take Communion. That ridiculous argument alone makes me lose any interest in the rest of what he might say.

The “finer points of the faith”. HA! The faith in an imaginary sky-fairy?

Not to put to fine a point on it, but your belief system is laughable at best and horribly violent at worst.

      • Franklin Radcliff

lol you lump my faith in with that of fake Christians and label us all the same. You have no understanding of the book. As for My God being imaginary, that’s a strange suggestion. Have you been everywhere in the entire universe and every physical dimension to see that he isn’t hiding in any of them?

  • CognizantImpiety

    And your point is?
