Imagine for a moment what would happen if fathers were suddenly subjected to the same advice that mothers are. Especially about the concept of “having it all” — a family, a career and children. It is quite doubtful that many men have been told to keep their voices calm and soothing, to never get angry, to wear their “power colors” and be sure to have perfectly shaved armpits, legs, and bikini line so they will feel confident and be able to be really effective at work.

Well, women have, and honestly we are so used to hearing it, that most of the time we don’t even realize how big a double standard women are actually expected to maintain in “having it all.”
Welcome the fantastic Twitter account Manwhohasitall, where the ridiculousness of the advice and comments that mothers are subjected to, is set up as if it is for men, but it’s definitely now. The creator of the account wishes to remain anonymous, but gave this really funny quote by way of explaining his genius twitter account on Breaking News:
Don’t get me wrong, I’m absolutely fine with dads who work. It boosts their self-esteem and gives them an identity beyond just ‘dad.’
Tweet from @manwhohasitall:
I have absolutely nothing against fathers in the workforce, as long as they can concentrate on the job.

The fact is that once confronted with these hilarious gender swapped tweets it seems that laughter leads to understanding in a lot of cases. Manwhohasitall seems to be a real ally for feminists.

This account brilliantly mocks double standards many of us woking moms face. But it is important to note that stay-at-home parents (moms and dads) also are often treated like crap by society. We are often called lazy and asked “what do you do all day?” Stay-at-home dads are treated with disdain and told they are not “manly enough.” It’s ridiculous how much bullshit humans force other humans to take and it’ll be nice when everyone just starts treating one another with respect.
In short: Don’t be an a$$hole and Twitter won’t mock you.
