See Deion Sanders Troll His Son On Twitter - Just Like A Good Dad Should (TWEETS)

“plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose”

Translated:

“The more things change, the more they stay the same.” ~ Jean Baptiste Alphonse Karr

Being a good dad is being a good dad, in any era. And all dads know part of that is occasionally taking the time to remind their children of who they are, where they come from, and to always be who they are vs. some fake persona. Of course, a lot of us dads like to teach our lessons in ways that not only serve to teach, but amuse ourselves. It is a “dad thing.” The ways me might teach such lessons might have varied over time, but the messages remain the same.

Be true to yourself. Work hard and be patient for your opportunities. Seize those opportunities when they present themselves as those opportunities will be rare and fleeting. Lessons my dad taught me growing up and I have tried to instill in my sons.

Not much changes regardless of era, neighborhood or means of communication. Simply look at what Deion Sanders had to say via tweets (the modern equivalent of embarrassing your kid in front of his friends) to his son who he apparently thought needed some reminders;

Later, Dad explains that he is just having fun to another father;

But that doesn’t stop Deion from having some more trolling fun with his son … from today’s feed;

But also today he restated his love for his son and that he’s just playing, as dads do;

Interestingly enough, if you check out the former NFL Star’s twitter feed it is mostly dominated with his work with local youth football in Dallas, a few inspirational quotes and more good advice for his children about working hard and being disciplined. Something this Hall Of Famer and great father knows a few things about;

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
