Some people think it’s awful to see racist or homophobic or otherwise hateful or astonishing–even mind-bending–thought processes and attitudes being displayed on the internet. Then there are people that are grateful that their true colors are showing and we can deal with and process these people for who they truly are and not the façade that they want us to believe.
Social media allows not only those with a pulpit to state what they think or feel or believe–but it also allows the tiny formerly unheard voices of the masses. And they are coming out in full force, in astonishment, that anyone would support incestuous child molester, Josh Duggar.
We first covered the reaction of followers of Mike Huckabee on facebook–which is NOT to be missed.
Today, we’re covering the reaction to Ray Comfort’s oddly worded support of Josh Duggar and the reaction it created. If you are not familiar with Ray Comfort he is an evangelical hypocrite that raises money off his followers through “the word of God.” And he’s friends with Kirk Cameron.
The twitterstorm was started with a simple tweet from Comfort stating: “Standing by my friend Josh Duggar, as a brother in Christ. This was in his BC days. Such were some of us.” (Emphasis added.)
Discouraging and disgusting, all at once. One might ask themself since Huckabee and Comfort–much like Joel Osteen–are all about the money, if the Duggars aren’t paying these people to “stand” with them. This has cost Huckabee the Presidency and as you’ll see below it isn’t doing anything for Comfort. Being that they live lives based on greed, are the Duggars paying them off? Seems as though they were able to pay off Huckabee who was Governor of Arkansas at the time of the cover up.
What is encouraging and hopeful, however, is the response from his normally loyal followers:
This isn’t the first time Ray Comfort has made waves on Social media. Someone posted this facebook capture on Pinterest. In short, I’m all for the crazies exposing themselves for who they really are. Don’t stifle their free speech. We need to know who we’re dealing with.
I’m happy to see that most people are not being mindless sheep and thinking for themselves. Because if Jesus went into his sister’s room in the middle of the night it wouldn’t be to molest her, it would be to make sure that she was safe and that no one else was molesting her.
