On what would have normally been a very sad day, this widow received a beautiful surprise from her late husband on Valentine’s Day.
Last year, Jim Golay received the diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumor, which took his life. However, prior to his death, he made sure his wife would always feel his undying love.
When she noticed the card was from her deceased husband, Shelly Golay was shocked.
“I thought the kids sent the flowers to begin with,” she told local news KCWY13.
However, when she contacted the florist, she discovered Jim’s plan.
After learning of his diagnosis and knowing he would likely not spend another Valentine’s Day with his wife, Jim Golay called the flower shop to make arrangements for not only this Valentine’s Day, but all Valentine’s Days for the rest of Shelly’s life.
“Basically, he had called and set it up before he passed, and what it’s going to be is just every Valentine’s Day, just some of her favorite assorted colored roses will be sent until the day she dies,” said Jessie Row, who works at the florist.
Shelly remembered her husband in the video by saying:
He’s such an amazing man and he just can love beyond boundaries. There is no boundaries with him, even in death. He’s just amazing.
