Video of a horrific helicopter crash in France that took the lives of ten people, including two French Olympic medalists, was released Tuesday.
Victims of the crash were part of a film crew producing a reality show called “dropped,” a survivalist program airing on French television.
Camille Muffat, 25, won three medals at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, including gold in the 400-meter freestyle. Alex Vastine, 28, won a bronze medal in the light welterweight division at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Also killed in the crash was champion sailor Florence Arthaud, 57. she won the famed Route du Rhum race — a trans-Atlantic single-handed yacht race between Brittany and the Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe in 1998.
French President Francois Hollande in a statement published on the website of the French daily Liberation said “The brutal demise of our compatriots is an immense sadness.”
The helicopters crashed near the town of Villa Castelli in La Rioja province, about 730 miles northwest of Buenos Aires.
