When five-year-old Josiah Duncan asked his mom about a man in shabby clothes sitting outside a Waffle House, she explained homelessness to him. When he understood the implications of someone not having a home, he outright demanded that his mom buy a good meal for the man.
NBC14 reports that Ava Faulk, the boy’s mom, sent them an email out of pride for her son’s actions:
Faulk wrote an email to WSFA 12 News about her son’s actions, and it included many of the questions the young child had. ‘Where is his house? Where is his family? Where does he keep his groceries?’ But mom said one thing troubled him above all.
‘He didn’t have any food,’ little Duncan explained. Josiah felt the urge to do something. He insisted on his mom buying the stranger a good meal. She listened, and then obliged.
He demanded the man be fed, and he prayed. See that, hypocritical Christian right-wingers? Not everyone feels the need to find bible verses that say things like “he who does not work will not eat.”
Watch this little boy school the conservative Christian right on how a real Christian and a fine human being treats the poor.
