One Of The Duggars Has A Black Friend - Watch Him Tell Him Evolution Is Racist (VIDEO)

Homeschooling and religious extremism are a dangerous combination, as proven by nearly any Duggar, but they aren’t the only ones infected with Duggar disease. Apparently, the people who marry into the family are just as bad.

Ben Seewald is the husband of Jessa (formerly Duggar). He has a black friend named Dante Berry who is equally religious. The two discussed racism, and of course a Bible verse was the answer, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

All of that sounds great, of course, but that quote and similar attitudes are often used to deny racism, which is exactly what Seewald and Berry did.

“That’s right, there’s no room for racism in Christianity,” said Seewald. “That all comes from the Devil. That all comes from, like, this false religion out here, evolution, that stuff? Teaching that, like, some people are ‘more evolved?’”

“In Christ, we’re all one,” Seewald concluded. “Man looks at the outward, while God looks at the heart.”

The most ironic quote of all, coming from a Duggar, was “as Christians, we need to stand up and love each other.” That quote came from a member of a family who follows the most hateful version of Christian extremism.

The evolution quote indicates that Seewald and his friend have almost no knowledge of science. There is no such thing as being “more evolved.” Evolution is adaptation not a contest. Skin develops more or less melanin (color) depending on ancestors’ climate. We aren’t even more evolved than apes. They are a lot better at being apes than we are and we are a lot better at being human.

Evolution is in fact racist. Adaption has nothing to do with the color of a persons skin. Survival of the fittest of evolution is racist.

Adaptation has everything to do with a person’s skin. As any Bill Nye fan could tell you, skin color developed as an adaptation to ultraviolet light. The more concentrated it is in a region, the more likely you’d find people with darker skin living there. It’s why Sub-Saharan Africans have black skin, while people in colder areas such as the Scandinavian countries are more likely to have blond hair and white skin.

We’re all human in the end, yet we adapted to our environment to survive.

There’s plenty of room for racism in Christianity. It’s why our churches are segregated in this country. That didn’t happen out of nowhere. It was designed that way.
