Fox News Host Goes Blind For A Moment, Says ‘I Didnt See A Black Man Killed By A White Cop’ (VIDEO)

In a discussion over the fatal shooting of Walter Scott in South Carolina, Fox News Host Greg Gutfeld apparently went blind when he claimed that he did not see a white officer shooting a black man. While criticizing the incident, he says:

This is the great thing about that horrible, horrible tape, and why it’s necessary that cameras are everywhere: I didn’t see a black man killed by a white cop; I saw a man shoot another man in the back. I saw an actual act. You can’t theorize, you can’t come up with hypotheticals. You actually see that.

The amaurotic host then states that the camera captures more than just color, it captures the actual incident:

What I saw there, it’s just unbelievable [that] you would shoot somebody as they’re moving away from you and then supposedly, perhaps, planting evidence to make it look like you were justified.

After being confronted by contributor Juan Williams about his allegations towards officers wearing body cameras, Gutfeld admitted to being wrong.

What would you say about Staten Island, Eric Garner?” Williams asked.

“I felt horrible about that,” Gutfeld responded. “That camera showed a man that was being arrested over a loose cigarette.”

In the Urban Dictionary definition for “clickbait”, your headline for this story should be #1,,,
I am NOT giving you a compliment! Maybe you should reconsider having the word “news” in your site name in light of your mangling of this news story depiction. Get it right in the headline, please. There is enough social chaos in the world without throwing more editorial gasoline on a story.

The headline was meant as sarcasm and was recognized as such by anyone paying attention.

No, this is pretty much the definition of clickbait. It’s only recognizable as sarcasm once the article is read.

I’ll bet you every black person who has ever encountered whites who claim to be colorblind where race is concerned read that headline and understood it as sarcasm immediately. I certainly did.

So I assume there is no shred of journalistic integrity needed when disseminating story of vital national interest? OK, count me out. I am unsubscribing from a site that up to now had been a part of my daily “news”reading routine. Bye bye. I am hear to learn something of potential import. “Someone paying attention”? Really? Apparently sarcasm is more valuable than unbiased info. I get it. Thanks.

Apparently, the subtleties of unconscious white privilege can leave one incapable of recognizing sarcasm when one sees it. This is a perfect example of the blind spot that prevents some whites from seeing what is obvious to blacks. Not saying clickbait headlines don’t exist or that this site has never used one, just that this is not one of those times.
