9-year-Old Boy Is Viciously Stabbed In Head And Neck From Behind While Walking To School (VIDEO)

A 9-year-old black boy was walking to school on Friday, minding his own business, when a complete stranger walks up from behind him and starts stabbing him, striking young Jermaine Culver in the head, neck, and shoulder.

According to Raw Story, Staten Island police reported that the attacker was a black male, but nothing corroborates this. The only thing that can be gleaned from the video is that the suspect was wearing black gloves. Other reports have said that the only thing that police know at this time about the predator is that he is wearing a blue hoodie. Since so little is known at this point, a hate crime can not be ruled out as of yet.

Malik Williams, Jermaine’s older brother, was not sure why someone would target his younger brother like this:

We just moved here. We don’t have problems with nobody.

Jermaine was only two blocks away from his school, where he attends fifth grade. Luis Padilla, who had a surveillance camera that witnessed the entire event, said:

It looks like he’s trying to kill that kid.

Judging from the wounds Jermaine received, his injuries may have come from a pen.

His puffy winter coat may be what saved him, according to his brother:

I’m so thankful for that coat because he may not be living right now.

The suspect trailed young Jermaine for several blocks before eventually coming up behind him and stabbing him multiple times. Luckily, he was able to run away and tell someone about the assault in time. The suspect is still at large and police are canvassing the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website  or by texting tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
