North Korea is acting like a small child throwing a tantrum on the playground during recess, as if someone just took away their juice bottle. But what else is one to expect from the closest thing to a real-life political version of Eric Cartman from South Park? Kim Jong-un fits the role perfectly, and as each day passes he proves that to the world more and more.
North Korea isn’t exactly waging “nuclear war” here, but it is certainly a “war of words,” the same one would expect from a 5-year-old needing his mouth washed out with soap.
A spokesman within their policy department said in a statement recently through their official Korean Central News Agency:
Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest.
This isn’t the first time North Korea has compared President Obama to being a “monkey.”
Earlier this year a published article through the same news agency said:
How Obama looks, makes me disgusted. As I watch him more closely, I realize that he looks like an African native monkey with a black face, gaunt grey eyes, caveat nostrils, a plump mouth and hairy rough ears. He acts just like a monkey with a red bum irrationally eating everything – not only from the floor but also from trees here and there…Africa’s national zoo will be the perfect place for Obama to live with licking bread crumbs thrown by visitors.
North Korea is known for making these types of personally denigrating and otherwise unstatesmanlike comments publicly, not just about Obama, but other political leaders, as well.
It appears the old phrase, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” does not ring a bell with them.
They also attacked U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and said he was ugly by comparing him to a wolf with a “hideous lantern jaw.” They didn’t have kind words to say about South Korean President Park Geun-hye either, after Obama made a trip there to show his support for South Korea.
Their state media called her a “crafty prostitute,” referring to her recent visit with Obama. They labeled her as a “lunatic, idiot and cold-blooded animal,” emphasizing the fact that she “was never married or had children.”
They went on to clarify exactly what they meant by this through their official state media:
What President Park did before Obama this time reminds us of an indiscreet girl who earnestly begs a gangster to beat someone or a capricious whore who asks her fancy man [pimp] to do harm to another person while providing sex to him.
It’s not entirely clear at this point what Kim Jong-un and the North Koreans expect to accomplish with this type of rhetoric. Maybe they just want their juice box back and think this is the best way to do it.
