WATCH: Trump Daughter-In-Law’s Hillary Smear Hilariously Fails When She Forgets Punchline On Live TV

Stupid appears to run in Donald Trump’s family. While speaking at an African-American church on Sunday, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law attempted to wheel out an insult to smear Hillary Clinton.

Sounds normal, right? Well, there was just one problem: she forgot the quote about insanity she planned to use.

Suddenly, I’m reminded of three things: the 2011 election cycle, government agencies , and, uh. . .  I forgot the third one.

“I forgot my quote”

Believe it or not, not everyone supporting Trump is a white supremacist or in a KKK group. The historically black church, Antioch Road to Glory International Ministries in Charlotte, is one such group.

On Sunday, the church held a “Day of Endorsement” for Trump, which was attended by The Apprentice star Omarosa Manigault and his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump.

While speaking to CNN host Fredrika Whitfield from the church, Lara explained that her father-in-law had “100 percent” support from members of the church, while Whitfield noted that the church’s Facebook page compared Hillary to “an abusive ex, one that you already know left you broken and wounded.”

I’d like to know how she did that. Hillary isn’t her husband. I’m sorry if you confuse the two of them.

Lara Trump then tried to hammer her point home with a zinger:

I had nothing to do with the Facebook page but what I’ll tell you is that there’s a famous quote that says . . . wait, I forgot my quote!

Eric Trump’s assistant, Lynn Patton, reminded Lara that she meant to repeat a quote usually (and falsely) attributed to Albert Einstein: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

Lara recovered and gave another tepid dig at Clinton instead:

What we have is eight years of the same result. You have with Hillary Clinton the same thing you got with Barack Obama

Yes, but the last four years of those have been with intransigent Republicans in the house, and before that, we had another belligerent tool in office, George Bush. By all means, let’s do the same stupid thing we did from 2000 – 2008.
