If you are not familiar with Rod Webber and his YouTube account, now is as good a time as any to familiarize yourself. Rod makes short films and, apparently, visits town hall meetings to publicly (yet gently) dress down politicians who feel that they know the bible and who have difficulty separating religion and politics.
Just a few days ago Rod stopped in to visit Mike Huckabee, a GOP Presidential candidate and former pastor. So, you would think that Mike Huckabee would know the bible pretty well. Not near as well as Rod does.
The clip starts with Mike Huckabee saying something about the less the government is involved the better. There is a pause in the “huddle,” and Rod raises his hand to ask the candidate about three central points:
1. Proverbs 22:9
2. Revelation 11:18
3. Matthew 5:21
As Huckabee stammers, backtracks and circles, it becomes clear that Rod knows his way around the bible better than the Huckster.
It gets even better when it gets to splitting hairs between “thou shalt not kill” and “thou shalt not murder” and Mike Huckabee has to defend his war mongering stances–which he proudly displays repeatedly on his Facebook pages and Twitter feed.
WATCH the exchange unfold as Mike Huckabee slowly realizes that he’s getting owned by the bearded man who looks like Jesus:[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLkLCdcMUIA?feature=player_detailpage&w=640&h=360]
