Malala Yousefzai, 18, who survived being shot in the head for the crime of attending school while female, has been a leader in Human Rights for several years. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts, the young woman responded to the hateful rhetoric of Donald Trump and other politicians that are supporting the call to ban Muslims from entering the United States.
With a beautiful strength of conviction beyond her years, Malala’s word ring with passion and truth:
It’s important that whatever politicians say, whatever the media say, they should be really, really careful about it. If your intention is to stop terrorism, do not try to blame the whole population of Muslims for it because it cannot stop terrorism. It will radicalize more terrorists.
In such a simple statement she strips back the fear and hate and exposes the core issue, we must do our part to stop the rampant fear and hate that is leading so many to radicalization.
