Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Hahahahahahahaha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Ha.
Conservatives never cease to find new ways to reveal their stupidity to the world, and boy did the shitty little blog Fox News blowhard Tucker Carlson co-founded manage that perfectly.
In their latest attack on Senator Elizabeth Warren’s Native American heritage, the Daily Caller’s Amber Athey boasted Tuesday that Warren would definitely not be speaking at a major Native American summit:
The National Congress of American Indians Tribal Nations Policy Summit is taking place in Washington, DC, this week, and it features a whole host of politicians and high-profile speakers, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
However, Warren — the only U.S. Senator who has claimed a Native American heritage — is missing from the guest list. (RELATED: Reminder: Elizabeth Warren Lied About Being Cherokee)
Cherokee genealogists have traced Warren’s family history and were unable to find any ancestors that identified as anything other than white, but that hasn’t stopped Warren from doubling down on her claims, pointing to her family’s “high cheekbones” and plagiarized “Pow Wow Chow” recipes.
“If Warren is so sure that she is Cherokee, then why isn’t she making an appearance at the policy summit to support her fellow American Indians?” Athey writes. “It certainly is odd.”
Naturally, conservatives jumped all over this “news,” attacking Warren’s heritage because — well, Hillary Clinton covered it with that whole “Basket” thing.
I guess she didn’t see the smoke signals about the meetings

This sort of thing goes on for a while under the Caller’s tweet about Warren’s supposed lack of attendance — which makes it so much sweeter that not only did she attend, but she spoke about the Right’s ridiculous attacks on her.
“I get why some people think there’s hay to be made here,” Warren said. “You won’t find my family members on any rolls, and I’m not enrolled in a tribe.”
“We have a president who can’t make it through a ceremony honoring Native American war heroes without reducing Native history, Native culture, Native people to the butt of a joke,” Warren said of Trump’s decision to call her “Pocahontas” at a November event honoring Native American code talkers.
“Her story has been taken away by powerful people who twisted it to serve their own purposes,” Warren continued. “The fable is used to bleach away the stain of genocide. As you know, Pocahontas’s real journey was far more remarkable — and far darker — than the myth admits.”
“I’m here today to make a promise,” Warren added. “Every time someone brings up my family’s story, I’m going to use it to lift up the story of your families and your communities … This must stop. And I promise I will fight to help write a different story.”
You know, for not being there, Warren sure had a powerful message.
Naturally, the Caller has not published any form of correction.
