Trump’s Veteran Donation Fallacy Completely Falls Apart As Dates On Checks Revealed

If Donald Trump’s defensiveness doesn’t make him look guilty enough as it is of fibbing his way through this election, then, well, facts will do that for him.

Trump doesn’t like be called out on his lies. He’ll do the Sarah Palin thing to do and bite back at the press as though they are some form of evil-doers out to get him when all they are really doing is their job. It’s a journalists job to dissect the story, find the facts, and then report on them.

Trump doesn’t like it when reporters report the facts.

Case in point — Tuesday’s press conference regarding Veteran donations, or rather lack thereof, when Trump got feisty and defensive, even going so far as to call an ABC reporter “sleazy.”

Now, as it turns out, Trump deserves every bit of scrutinization that he is receiving. Back in January, he had promised Veteran groups millions of dollars — millions of dollars that never really seemed to make it to the Veterans, but boy it sure sounded good at the time, right? Got press, right? And now that same press called him out on not actually making good on his promises.

That is, of course, until May 24, 2016, the date on the $1 million dollar check from Trump’s personal account. According to AP:

The largest donation, a $1 million check dated May 24 and drawn from Donald J. Trump’s personal account, was addressed to a small Tuckahoe, New York, group that provides scholarships to the children of fallen Marines.

In fact:

The Associated Press spoke or left messages with each of the organizations Trump named. Of the 30 groups that responded by Tuesday, about half said they had received checks from Trump just last week.

Several said the checks were dated on or about May 24 – the date as Trump’s interview with the Post – and shipped out overnight.

Among them was the big check from Trump himself, written to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation. Trump’s campaign had previously told the newspaper that his promised $1 million personal donation had already been distributed.

Oops. Those damn pesky facts always getting in the way of self-aggrandizing moments where Trump can look in the mirror and kiss himself before heading to bed at night.

Let’s be real, Trump is full of sh*t, and who knows if he would’ve ever followed through with his promised donations to Vets if not for basically being shamed into it after it was found out he was all talk and no money.

Trump can’t be trusted and has some nerve calling anyone else “crooked.” Let’s make sure he gets nowhere near the Oval Office.
