There’s little doubt that Donald Trump’s campaign has been a boon for late-night comedians nationwide. The Republican field is packed full of crazy, but Trump’s particular brand of it has captured the imaginations and stone-cold hearts of the Republican primary voters.
Whether it’s his remarks about undocumented Mexican immigrants or his attacks on John McCain — and by extension every POW in the nation — Trump isn’t adding anything to the party that wasn’t already there. To people with commonsense , the very notion of Donald Trump running for president seems absurd.
But how would he look to someone from the 1980s? It’s undeniable that there’s something quintessentially ’80s about Trump.
Enter this “Back To The Future”/Donald Trump crossover.
In the far off year of 2015 . . .
Made by YouTuber James Montalbano, the video splices together footage from a scene in “Back To The Future II” with Donald Trump’s presidential announcement video. Trump replaces a promotional video for the antagonist Biff Tannen and Marty McFly has arrived just in time to hear Trump’s announcement that he’s running for president.
McFly’s reaction, needless to say, is priceless.
As the Huffington Post has noted, there are plenty of similarities between Biff Tannen and Donald Trump; from the real estate/casino connection to the both men being on their third marriage. Both men are poster boys for narcissism and egotism, and both of them are filthy rich.
We didn’t get hoverboards or flying cars, but we did get Biff Tannen running for president.
God bless America.
