The Internet Had A Field Day With Trump’s Insanely Racist Shoutout To ‘My African American’ (TWEETS)

Donald Trump never ceases to amaze with his ability to somehow seem blissfully unaware of just how racist the majority of the words he speaks truly are. He proved this again during a campaign speech on Friday in Redding, California. Trump pointed at a lone black man in the crowd and called the man “my African-American.”

Look at my African-American over here. Look at him,” Trump said, pointing at a man in the crowd. “Are you the greatest? You know what I’m talking about?

The only way Trump’s poorly phrased shout out could have gone over much worse would have been for him to call the man “Toby.”

Twitter quickly interrupted in harsh criticism of the bigoted billionaire.

Trump used the opportunity to segue into a story about a previous rally where an African-American man in the crowd ended up punching protesters who were dressed as the KKK.

He’s sitting there behaving, and we had protesters inside the arena. And they were dressed in a Ku Klux Klan outfit, OK? And they’re running around dressed as Ku Klux Klan,” Trump said. “This African-American gets up and man, he slugged these guys. By that time, their hat was off. But this guy — a great guy, I think he was a military guy for a long time — he slugged the guy wearing the Ku Klux Klan outfit.

Thanks to the presumptive Republican nominee’s bigoted rhetoric his campaign events have been a hotbed of racial tensions for months now. More than once his rallies have devolved into snake pics of hate speech and physical violence. He has repeatedly egged on the violent tendencies of his supporters, encouraging them to attack protesters at his events. Clearly, even when he isn’t saying that he will pay the legal bills for anyone who attacks a protester, he still comes off as a racist piece of shit. True colors and all.

You can watch Trump’s entire speech here. He gives the shout out to “his African-American” around the 30-minute mark.
