When asked during an interview which women Trump is considering for his cabinet, Donald Trump’s answer was very concerning. It seems that the only women he could think of were his own daughter and the woman doing the interview with him. Hillary Clinton didn’t let this go without a little counter punch of her own, either.
Trump was asked by Angelia Savage of First Coast News, who said she was curious as a woman, which women he is considering for his cabinet. He answered that “there are so many,” but that everyone would clamor for him to “put Ivanka in, put Ivanka in.” Then he proceeded to say that he would name the reporter to his cabinet, mentioning that is really smart.
She’s very popular, she’s done very well. And you know Ivanka very well. But there really are so many that are talented people, like you. You’re so talented, I don’t know if your viewers know that.
At this point, you are probably thinking that this is inflated, it isn’t. Watch for yourself:
However, out of the “so many” women he is considering, his daughter’s name was the only one he dropped. If you don’t count the overdone flattery of the reporter and the intimation that he could put her in the cabinet. Seriously, out of the “many” women, he named precisely none with the qualifications to be in his cabinet.
He sounds like those people that say, “oh, that band, I LOVE them,” and when prompted for their favorite song or album reply “oh, there are so many, so many, which is your favorite?” Then proceed to prove to you that they have heard exactly nothing, or nothing that wasn’t played on a top 40 countdown anyway, about the band in question.
It is obvious that he had not one single clue as to any women that he is seriously considering, which leads to one of two conclusions: either he is not seriously considering even one qualified female for his cabinet, or he can recall information that is central to the planning of his administration.
Hillary Clinton took to twitter to remind us of another man who had “binders” full of women, and no ostensible plans to appoint even one either — Mitt Romney. Also pointing out the irony that Romney would likely not even take a call from Trump, probably since being a misogynist is literally one of Trump’s smallest problems.

Being a uniquely unqualified, bigoted, disconnected, wannabe despot with the potential to bankrupt the country by pursuing a
pipe, er wall dream with no foreign policy acumen at all are probably among the larger of the problems that even Romney, and other top Republicans, can’t even justify. That is saying something.
