The process of Trump selecting a VP was as absurd and trashy as a daytime soap opera. Worse yet, we have learned that Donald Trump has absolutely no intentions fo doing the hard and difficult work of being president, according to Donald trump Jr. (or Uday Trump). Rather, his task will just be what the hat says: “Make America Great Again.” In other words, make tv appearances and continue saying crazy crap and being totally without a workable course of action.
It was recently revealed by the New York Times that Donald Trump’s son tried to woo John Kasich with a position as the most powerful vice president in history (next to Dick Cheney). However, the bad blood between the vanilla Governor of Ohio and Trump is so severe that he turned it down, according to multiple sources close to Kasich. Indeed, Kasich would have been in charge of all domestic and foreign policy in a Trump White House, Kasich sources said. Like everything the plagiarizing and lying Trump campaign says and does, they denied it and insulted Kasich.
John Kasich was never asked by me to be V.P. Just arrived in Cleveland – will be a great two days!” Trump tweeted.
And here’s what a trump aide told the NY Times:
Completely false. His vetting read like a trashy novel, the aide said, when asked by CNN about the reports.
But those close to Kasich vigorously disagree and I tend to believe them.
Their comments are demonstrably false given the effort they put forward — and offer they made — to get Kasich to join the ticket. They must be confusing it with the file on Manafort, which must read like a Russian novella. (CNN)
And yet we have video from two months ago in which Trump said he would love to have Kasich as his running mate.
Trump’s Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort also described the vice president role in a Trump administration as essentially being like the COO of a company in an interview with the Huffington Post in May, a role that would appear consistent with the job being described by Kasich sources.
He needs an experienced person to do the part of the job he doesn’t want to do. He seems himself more as the chairman of the board, than even the CEO, let alone the COO, Manafort said.
