Trump Gives Press Credentials To Pro-Slavery White Supremacist, By Accident Of Course

Donald Trump has once again decided to cozy up to white supremacists, this time choosing to give press credentials to a pro-white, slavery-loving white nationalist.

James Edwards, host of The Political Cesspool Radio Program, attended Trump’s rally in Memphis on Saturday “as a fully credentialed member of the media,” and reported on the bigoted GOP frontrunner’s event from the press pen. He also announced that he had interviewed Donald Trump Jr. for a show that will be airing this week.

In the radio show’s statement of principles, Edwards writes that he wishes “to revive the white birthrate” and further, “to grow the percentage of whites in the world.” He also states that “we advocate for an America First immigration policy. You can’t have a First World nation with a Third World population.” The statement goes to declare that secession is a right and his “show honors those who tried to make it successful from 1861 – 1865.”

Edwards has also praised slavery, once writing that the following appalling remark:

For blacks in the Americas, slavery is the greatest thing that ever happened to them. Unfortunately, it’s the worst thing that ever happened to white Americans.

Edwards himself claims that his attendance at the rally should not be seen as the campaign’s endorsement for his views, and Trump claims they had no idea who he was. The campaign said that “close to 200 reporters” were at the event, and “we do not personally vet each individual.” Junior claims that he would never have done the interview if he had known who Edwards was.

This whole load of bullshit would be a whole lot more convincing if Trump had not just been called out for becoming bosom buddies with David Duke, a former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. After Duke endorsed Trump as the white supremacists’ wet dream of a candidate, the narcissistic billionaire failed to disavow Duke and the KKK during an interview on CNN. After heavy condemnation, Trump said he just didn’t hear the question because of a faulty earpiece and unconvincingly disavowed Duke.

Either Trump can’t afford to pay his staff enough to do a Google search on who they are giving media passes and interviews to, or Trump is just fine with being the long awaited hero of America’s racists. You decide.
