Once again, Donald Trump’s ego couldn’t handle the truth.
On Tuesday, Trump bragged that he’s responsible for the jobs that American companies have been creating.
With all of the jobs I am bringing back into the U.S. (even before taking office), with all of the new auto plants coming back into our…..

country and with the massive cost reductions I have negotiated on military purchases and more, I believe the people are seeing “big stuff.”

Thank you to General Motors and Walmart for starting the big jobs push back into the U.S.!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 17, 2017
Except that all of these companies, including Ford, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler have all refuted Trump’s claims because these expansions in the United States were already planned long before Election Day. Plus, Trump is not even president yet, so he can’t really take credit for anything that happens right now since President Obama is still in the White House. (In fact, some might say President Obama deserves credit because he’s the one who oversaw the the revival of the auto industry that Republicans wanted to see die.)
After the media and Twitter users pointed out that Trump is not the reason why jobs are being created in the United States, he predictably lashed out, calling the media “fake” and insisting that he gets all the credit.
Totally biased @NBCNews went out of its way to say that the big announcement from Ford, G.M., Lockheed & others that jobs are coming back…

to the U.S., but had nothing to do with TRUMP, is more FAKE NEWS. Ask top CEO’s of those companies for real facts. Came back because of me!

And once again, Twitter FLATTENED his big ego.
.@realDonaldTrump Just because the reporting doesn’t fit your false narrative doesn’t make it “fake.” You’re setting a dangerous precedent. pic.twitter.com/OhBCsh1lQA

@realDonaldTrump Don’t let your Twitter minions lull you into a false sense of security… this is why the world thinks you’re a joke.

@realDonaldTrump Oh for fuck sake. At least think of your kids. They must be mortified every single time you tweet.

@realDonaldTrump You can’t take credit for things that were announced 3 years ago. https://t.co/HhAsrhPfN1

@realDonaldTrump You’d try and take credit for the weather (but only when it’s sunny).

@realDonaldTrump FACTS that you don’t like are NOT FAKE NEWS

@realDonaldTrump What about the 6200 jobs that Macy’s cut earlier this month. Do you take credit for the cuts too or just the job additions?
