Ted Cruz’s Painfully Stupid Op-Ed Claims GOP Engages In ‘Surrender Politics’ With ‘Terminator’ Obama

Senator and presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, really, really wants to shut the government down….AGAIN. He wants to shut it down and cost the country billions of dollars, so badly, that he has decided to attack his own party for what he perceives as their “surrender politics.”

In an op-ed published in Politico on Wednesday, titled “The Republican Party’s Surrender Politics,” Cruz said that Obama is “like the Terminator, he never gives up, he never stops.” And he accused Republicans of giving in without even putting up a fight:

President Obama demands of Congress: fund all of Obamacare, with no changes to help the millions being hurt by that failed law, or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down. President Obama demands: fund his unconstitutional executive amnesty—or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down. President Obama demands: give $500 million in taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood, a private organization under criminal investigation—or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down.

First of all, Ted Cruz led the charge to de-fund Obamacare in 2013, which led to the government being shutdown for 16 days. It cost the country $24 billion and was an economic catastrophe, but he seems to have forgotten about that. Secondly, there was never an “executive amnesty” because if there had been, my husband would be an American citizen right now. Finally, Planned Parenthood is not under criminal investigation, so…..LIES!

Cruz continues his op-ed whining about his party, saying that they won’t cause the government to come to a grinding halt again. He acts as if them doing their job, their only job, is a horrible, treasonous offense, and then he gets really stupid:

The latest example: When video evidence surfaced depicting the barbaric selling of unborn baby parts by Planned Parenthood, Americans of conscience—pro-life and pro-choice alike—were understandably shocked.

For the last time: PLANNED PARENTHOOD IS NOT SELLING BABY PARTS!

Seriously, this has been debunked over and over and over, but the right-wing lunatics keep repeating it. It doesn’t matter how many times they say it, it will never be true.

Cruz goes on to tell his readers that if the government shuts down it will be all Obama’s fault because he will have promised to “veto funding for the federal government” even though the GOP knows that a bill to de-fund Planned Parenthood will never, ever be signed. Then Cruz reminds everyone that the last shutdown wasn’t so bad:

If Obama forces a shutdown, it’s worth remembering that during the previous government slowdown, operations associated with roughly 80 percent of government spending continued, including pay for military personnel, national security, Social Security and Medicare beneficiaries and everything else federal law deems ‘essential.’

Ummmmmm…..and it still cost the government billions of dollars and left thousands of employees without work. Oh and DON’T FORGET THE PARKS! THE VETERANS WERE WITHOUT THEIR PARKS!

Finally, the best part was when he said a government shutdown was a good election strategy:

And, notably, after President Obama forced the 2013 shutdown over Obamacare, predictions of electoral calamity proved false; instead, Republicans won a landslide victory in 2014.

Omg, please, please, pleaaaaassssseeeeeeeee do it!

Ted Cruz is such an imbecile. He wants to force his party into another disastrous shutdown, because of a lie and he thinks this is what Americans want. He thinks we want the government shutdown, billion dollars of losses and thousands of people out of work. Is he smoking crack?

This is how destructive the GOP is and this is why we need to get them the hell out of office. We had the worst voter turnout in 60 years during the 2014 election and Republicans were able to take control; that is OUR fault. It is our fault that we are in this predicament because we didn’t get off of our sofas and vote.

So, seriously people: DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE!
