When preparing for presidential debates, usually candidates have someone to play the opposing candidate. However, thanks to the highly unusual nature of Donald Trump’s candidacy, it’s been very difficult for the Clinton team to find an appropriate person to be the racist, bigoted, and temperamentally erratic buffoon that is Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, appeared on Sunday’s edition of CNN’s State of the Union, and said:
It’s very hard to find someone to mimic the reckless temperament and the hateful instincts and divisive instincts of Donald Trump.
Preparing for a debate with him is a challenging task, but Secretary Clinton is looking forward to the debate.
Mook also went on to say that the debates will definitely highlight the stark contrast between Secretary Clinton’s “steady leadership” and the Great Orange One’s “very reckless temperament.”
Well, whether they find anyone to be able to effectively play the very unpredictable character that is Donald Trump, Hillary will eat his lunch during those debates. Trump has regularly demonstrated just the wild, uncontrollable temperament that Mook speaks of, and the only time it is even a little bit controlled is when his team forces him to read from a teleprompter. Well, guess what? No teleprompter or prepared remarks will be there to save The Donald during these presidential debates. Further, his ignorance of the issues will definitely show when the questions get tough.
Good luck finding someone to play Trump during debate prep, Team Clinton! Even if you don’t, though, worry not – Hillary will blow him out of the water.
