Santorum Throws Iran Diplomacy In President’s Face, Kicks At His Nobel Peace Prize (AUDIO)

Last week, former senator and 2016 presidential hopeful Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) hinted that President Obama’s diplomacy with Iran regarding the country’s nuclear capabilities is simply a ploy to “earn” a Nobel Peace Prize the president already won nearly six years ago, in 2009.

“Buzzfeed News” has posted audio of Santorum being interviewed on “Piscopo In The Morning,” by host Joe Piscopo at AM970. There, folks can hear Santorum saying he is “very thankful” for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s congressional address, particularly because much of it focused on the United States’ possibly striking a deal with Iran.

Santorum also stated:

For a long time, what the Obama administration was doing in this negotiation was being hidden from the American public. [Netanyahu’s address] put a spotlight on the fact that Barack Obama is sacrificing the security of our country in order to justify his Nobel Peace Prize that he got before he did anything. That, to me, is a real tragedy.

Apparently, to Santorum, winning the presidency of the United States was back “before [Obama] did anything.” Anybody can do that, right? Just ask Santorum.

Santorum continued:

Any kind of paper agreement by a regime that has never kept a promise on any international agreement isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

Santorum complained from there:

But even if you agree that they’ll live up to the agreement, at the end of the agreement they’ll be in a position where they can be a nuclear power, and that, to me, is completely unacceptable, and I’m so glad that the prime minister came here and laid that out to the American people.

So stop sucking up to your previously-won-for-your-prior-accomplishments-years-ago-Peace Prize, Obama. You think you’ve earned that yet?

Isn’t that what Santorum’s saying when even winning the Nobel Peace Prize, becoming the first African-American president – the first: Black. Man. President – isn’t enough, still, to get respect from the white power establishment?

Obama’s actions now and forever, at best, will be sucking up to earning achievements he’s already won and been awarded, as if they happened to someone else, someone whiter. He is denied the respect his earned accolades should otherwise afford him, should he be part of the white, good old boys, fat cats and big dogs club.

See, no matter how much Obama plays ball, incorporates into big business lobbying and corporate personhood, no matter how ingrained into Wall St. and the big banks he becomes, he’ll never fully be accepted. He’ll never fully be given the respect any other president in history has had so far.

Because he’s black. Because he is even partially black.

That’s racism in America. That’s foolish, backward thinking. That’s not freedom; it’s the opposite of freedom, and that’s why zealots like Rick Santorum will never, and should never win the presidency.
